Objective: To explore the short-term clinical efficacy of rehabilitation therapy on children with inconspicuous penis.Methods: From March 2018 to September 2018,58 children with inconspicuous penis were enrolled in the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College.The children who agreed to rehabilitation therapy were divided into micropenis treatment group and buried penis treatment group,those who did not receive treatment were divided into control group.53 patients in the treatment group,aged 3-12 years,with an average age of(8.6±1.9)years,were treated with external genital rehabilitation once a day,25 minutes a time,and a course of 20 days;25 patients in the control group,aged 4-12 years,with an average age of(8.8±2.0)years,were treated without any treatment.Penile length was measured on the 1?20?40 days.In the micropenis treatment group and the buried penis treatment group,the flaccid penile length ?the stretched penile length and the growth value of penile length were compared before and after treatment;in the control group,the flaccid penile length ?the stretched penile length and the growth value of penile length were compared before and after 1?20 and 40 days.The statistical software SPSS 25.0 was used to analyze the data and the difference was statistically significant with p < 0.05.Results:1.In the control group,there was no significant difference in the flaccid penile length and stretched penile length after 20 and 40 days of natural growth of the penis,(t=-1.57,p>0.05,t=-1.59,p>0.05),(t=-1.897,p>0.05,t=-1.431,p<0.05).2.In the micropenis treatment group,the flaccid penile length in children with micropenis increased from(1.60±0.72)cm to(2.19±0.66)cm and the stretched penile length increased from(2.69±0.42)cm to(3.32±0.89)cm before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(t=-3.893,p <0.05,t=-3.517,p <0.05).3.In the buried penis treatment group,the flaccid penile length in children with buried penis increased from(2.72±0.61)cm to(3.11±0.61)cm and the stretched penile length increased from(4.16±0.42)cm to(4.47±0.59)cm after 20 day's treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(t=-8.380,p<0.05,t=-3.666,p<0.05).4.In the micropenis treatment group,the growth value of stretched penile length in children after the first course of treatment was(0.76±0.58)cm,which was larger than the growth value of flaccid penile length in buried penis treatment group(0.37±0.22)cm.The difference of the growth value of flaccid penile length in the two groups of treatment was statistically significant(t=3.126,p<0.05);5.In the micropenis treatment group,the flaccid penile length after the first course of treatment was(2.19±0.66)cm and he stretched penile length was(2.19±0.66)cm and the stretched penile length increased from(3.32±0.89)cm;after the second course of treatment the flaccid penile length increased to(2.69±0.47)cm and stretched penile length increased to(3.69±0.50)cm,there were significant differences in the flaccid penile length and stretched penile length between the first course and the second course(t=-4.03,p <0.05,t=-3.18,p <0.05);6.In the total treatment group,the growth value of stretched penile length in the first course of treatment was(0.62±0.52)cm,which was larger than that in the second course of treatment(0.22 ± 0.19)cm.The difference of the growth value of stretched penile length in the two courses of treatment was statistically significant(t=4.307,p <0.05)7.Comparing the growth value of the flaccid penile length and stretched penile length between the total treatment group and the control group after 20 and 40 days,the flaccid penile length and the stretched penile length in the treatment group were significantly larger than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant.(t=5.774,p <0.05,t=6.661,p <0.05),(t=5.774,p <0.05,t=6.661,p <0.05).Conclusions:1.There were no significant changes in the flaccid penile length and stretched penile length after 20 and 40 days of natural penile growth;2.Using rehabilitation therapy instrument to treat children with micropenis and buried penis can effectively increase the flaccid penile length and stretched penile length after first course of treatment;3.After first course of treatment,the growth effect of the stretched penile length in children with micropenis was more significantly than that in the buried penis;4.In different courses of treatment,the growth effect of the stretched penile length in children with inconspicuous penis in the first course was better than that in the second course.Two courses of treatment can achieve the growth and stabilization of penis length.5.In different courses of treatment,the growth effect of SPL in children with inconspicuous penis in the first course was better than that in the second course.6.Children treated with two courses of treatment,the flaccid penile length and stretched penile length increased significantly compared with children who were only observed and not treated.
