Objective To analyze the status of sense of coherence in patients with esophageal cancer,and from the general information characteristics,disease-related information,positive psychological traits(gratitude,forgiveness,hope,optimism),social support and positive coping to explore the influence of sense of coherence in patients esophageal cancer patients;At the same time,we using structural equation modeling to explore the path of the positive psychological quality of patients with esophageal cancer(gratefulness,forgiveness,hope,optimism)、social support、positive coping and sense of coherence,and provides references for the clinical development of targeted measures.Methods A cross-sectional survey method was used to investigate 375 esophageal cancer patients in two affiliated hospitals of Anhui medical university using a self-designed general demographic and disease-related information questionnaire,GQ-6(The Gratitude Questionnaire-6),HFS(Hearthland Forgiveness Scale),HHI(Herth Hope Inder),LOT-R(Revised Life Orientation Test),SCSQ(Sim-plified Coping Style Questionnaire),SSRS(Social Support Rating Scale)and SOC-13(Sense of coherence Scale-13).Data were entered and analyzed using Epi Data 3.1 and SPSS Statistics 24.0software,Statistical methods included statistical description(frequency,percentage,mean±standard)、Independent-sample t test,one-way ANOVA、bivariate correlation analysis、and multiple linear regression analysis.AMOS 17.0 was used to construct a structural model of the mediating effect of positive coping on positive psychological traits(gratitude,forgiveness,hope,optimism),social support and sense of congruence.Results The score of sense of coherence in patients with esophageal cancer was(53.32 ± 13.74),which was at a low level.Positive psychological traits(gratitude,forgiveness,hope and optimism),social support and positive coping scores of esophageal cancer patients were positively correlated with the scores of sense of coherence(r=0.219 ~ 0.596,P < 0.01);The results of multiple linear regression showed that occupation、previous drinking history、religious belief、primary caregivers、surgical conditions、 course of radiotherapy、positive coping、forgiveness、hope and optimism were the influencing factors of sense of coherence in patients with esophageal cancer,explaining 53.1% of the variance of sense of coherence;The mediating effect analysis showed that positive coping played a partial mediating role in the relationship between forgiveness and sense of coherence,and the mediating effect accounted for 20.89% of the total effect.Conclusions The level of sense of coherence in patients with esophageal cancer is not high and needs to be further improved.Medical worker also should pay attention to the mining and cultivating the positive psychological traits of the patient’s own while formulating targeted psychological intervention,so as to improve the level of their sense of coherence,and then improve the long-term quality of life of patients.
