Meta-analysis Of Clinical Application Effects Comparing ReSTOR+2.5D With ReSTOR+3.0D Intraocular Lens

Objective:To compare the clinical presentation of patients with cataract surgery with additional degrees of add-on + 2.5D and additional degrees + 3.0D intraocular lens.Methods:Comprehensive search of the literatures of Pub Med,Cochrane,Web of Science,EMBASE,Wanfang,Weipu,and China Knowledge Net to collect additional degrees of add-on +2.5D and additional degrees in cataract surgery Confirmation of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of +3.0D intraocular lenses and comparative cohort studies as well as controlled trials.Screening according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,data extraction and quality assessment.The primary outcomes were uncorrected distance vision(UDVA),uncorrected intermediate vision(UIVA),uncorrected near vision(UNVA),defocus curve,independence of correction,patient satisfaction,and contrast sensitivity.Meta analysis was performed using Rev Man 5.3 software.Results:A total of 8 articals were included,including 556 eyes(270 eyes in the +2.5D group and 286 eyes in the +3.0D group).The meta-analysis of UIVA showed(MD =-0.08;95% CI =-0.09~-0.06;p < 0.001)there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups.The intermediate visual acuity of the additional degree +2.5D MIOL group was better than + 3.0D MIOL.UNVA's meta-analysis showed(MD=0.11;95% CI=0.04~0.17,p<0.00001),there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups,which showed that the additional degree +3.0D MIOL was better than UNVA.+2.5D MIOL.There was a statistically significant difference in postoperative glare and halo(MD=0.61,95%CI=0.38~0.96,P=0.039).However,there was no statistically significant difference in UDVA(MD=-0.01;95%CI=-0.02~0.01;p=0.24).There was no statistically significant difference in the performance of contrast sensitivity(MD=0.01,95%CI=-0.01~0.04,P=0.36).Conclusion:Compared with different types of multifocal intraocular lens,MIOL with additional degree +2.5D after phacoemulsification is better than MIOL UIVA with additional degree +3D,+3.0 MIOL performance is better than +2.5D MIOL in UNVA,glare,halo +2.5D MIOL performance is better than +3.0D MIOL,no significant difference in other aspects.
