BackgroundWith the Cataract surgery technology being perfected, the purpose of cataract surgery wasnot only visual recovery,but also how to get a good distance and near vision and how toimprove the visual quality of the patient’s. Some regulatory function of the intraocular lens came into being and was widely available in clinical,the multifocal and accommodativeintraocular lens has become one of the typical, but which one has the ability toregulate intraocular lens implantation for best visual quality, which problem has nouniform understanding.ObjectiveTo assess the visual outcomes and the full range of vision of the three types ofintraocular lens, Multifocal intraocular lens (ZMA00), accommodative intraocular lens(FLEX)and Monofocal intraocular lens (AKROS), in the treatment of phacoemulsification for thepatients with age related cataract.MethodsCase control study.Fifty six eyes of36patients with cataracts had undergonephacoemulsification and implantation of ZMA00, Fifty eight eyes of37age-and sex-matched patients with cataracts had the same surgery but implantated FLEX, the same assixty one eyes of39patients implantated AKROS.All patients were assessed for visualacuity, accommodation amplituded and contrast sensitivity visual acuity.ResultsDuring the follow-up time,the patients in the ZMA00and FLEX groups had bettervision acuity than the AKROS group in uncorrected distance vision acuity(UDVA),but nosignificant difference (P>0.05). And the patients in the ZMA00and FLEX groups hadbetter corrected intermediate vision acuity (CIVA)than the AKROS(P <0.05). The correctednear vision acuity(CNVA)in ZMA00group was the Largest, FLEX group followed, the AKROS group was the minimum (P<0.05). Defocus method showed that theaccommodative amplitude had the same trence with CNVA.In all contrast degrees, therewas no significant difference of Contrast sensitivity between the three groups(P>0.05).83.3%of the patients in ZMA00group,62.2%in FLEX group,17.9%in AKROS groupachieved total spectacle independence.Conclusion1.Three intraocular lens can be better distance vision, multifocal and accommodativeintraocular lens has better near vision and accommodative power of a high and off themirror ratio.2. Contrast visual acuity decreases as the percentage of contrast reduction,the ZMA00multifocal intraocular lens, the FLEX accommodative intraocular lens and theAKROS of monofocal intraocular IOL, there was no significant difference in contrast visualacuity of the three.3.Aspheric multifocal intraocular lens is not a lack of contrast sensitivity, and have agreater advantage than the accommodative intraocular lens in near vision and pseudoaccommodation.
