Investigation On The Antibody Level Of Measles And Rubella In College Students In Jilin Province

Objective:This study investigated the level of measles and rubella antibodies in college freshmen enrolled in colleges from September 2015 to September 2016 in Jilin Province,to understand the current situation of the antibody level of measles and rubella among college students in Jilin Province.To explore the difference of antibody positive rate and Geometric mean liter between different genders,ages and geographical distributions of these two diseases,and provide a data support for the formulation and improvement of measles and rubella immunization strategies in college students in Jilin Province.Methods:A total of 3289 college students from colleges and universities in Jilin Province from September 2015 to September 2016 who were enrolled in colleges and universities for new physical examinations were selected as subjects.The venous blood was collected and the gender,age,and gender of the subjects were collected according to a unified design questionnaire.Relevant information such as household registration.The laboratory test of measles IgG and rubella IgG antibody was detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Excel software was used to establish the database and SPSS22.0 was used for statistical analysis.Antibody positive rates were compared byχ~2 test,and the GMT were compared by t test or ANOVA.Student-Newman-Keuls(S-N-K)method was used to compare the results of variance analysis.With P<0.05 as the standard of statistically significant.Results:1.A total of 3,289 qualified serum samples of college freshmen from 2015 to2016 were collected in this survey,2987 of which were IgG antibody positive for measles,with a total positive rate of 90.8%and the GMT was 933.91mIU/mL.A total of 1812 freshmen were investigated in 2015.The positive rate of measles IgG was91.2%(1652/1812)and the GMT was 812.19mIU/mL.In 2016,1477 freshmen were investigated.The positive rate of antibody was 90.4%(1335/1477),and the GMT was1083.24mIU/mL.2.The positive rate of measles IgG antibody in college students has no statistical difference between genders,ages and places of residence.There were significant differences in the positive rate of measles IgG antibody between students from different regions of Jilin Province and their places of birth(χ~2=5.692,P<0.05;χ~2=17.930,P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the GMT of measles IgG between the place of residence,the place of birth and the college students(t=-2.415,P<0.05;t=-3.457,P<0.05),and the rural(1010.66mIU/mL)was higher than the city(901.77mIU)./mL),the other province(1001.36mIU/mL)is higher than Jilin Province(893.52mIU/mL).3.Among the nine cities(states)in Jilin Province,the highest positive rate of antibody among students in Songyuan City was 94.0%,and the lowest in Baishan City was 83.6%.By comparison,the positive rate of measles IgG antibody among college students in different regions of Jilin Province was statistically significant(χ~2=17.930,P<0.05),and the difference of GMT was also statistically significant(F=7.287,P<0.001).4.The total positive rate of rubella IgG antibody was 83.8%,GMT was56.43IU/mL;in 2015,the positive rate of rubella IgG was 84.2%(1526/1812),GMT was 51.75IU/mL;in 2016,the positive rate of rubella IgG antibody was 83.3%(1230/1477),GMT was 62.17IU/mL.5.The mean IgG antibody concentration of college students with rubella was significantly different between different places of birth(t=-2.691,P<0.05).Among the results of rubella IgG antibody positive rate of university students in 9 cities(prefectures)of Jilin Province,the highest positive rate of rubella antibody was 89.4%in Siping City,and that in Baishan City(76.9%)and Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture(70.1%)were lower.There was significant difference in the positive rate of rubella IgG antibody between different regions(χ~2=36.392,P<0.05).The GMT of rubella IgG was significantly different by ANOVA(F=8.321,P<0.001).Conclusion:1.The total positive rate of measles IgG antibody in college students in Jilin Province from 2015 to 2016 was 90.8%,which was generally low.It has not yet reached the WHO-defined standard(≥95%).Therefore,it is necessary to carry out supplementary measles vaccines and strengthen immunization activities for college students and establish a solid immune barrier.2.The positive rate of IgG antibody in college students was 83.8%,and the positive rate of rubella antibody and GMT were difference between residence and age groups.3.There are differences in measles,rubella antibody positive rate and GMT between college students from different places of origin.There are also regional differences in measles and rubella antibody levels among college students in Jilin Province,and lower in Baishan and Yanbian Prefecture.
