ObjectTo learn and analyze the epidemiological characters of measles in Chongqing City from 2009 to 2016.To evaluate the measures taken to control measles and provide scientific evidence to eliminate measles.MethodsDiscriptive epidemiology was used to analyze the characteristic of measles in Chongqing from 2009 to 2016.Use the Microsoft Excel 2013 to establish database and conduct ?2 and T test to detect the statistic difference by using SAS 9.4.Results18059 measles cases were reported during 2009 to 2016,11042 of which were clinically diagnosed and 7017 cases of which were labtory confirmed cases.2 dead cases were reported.The mean incidence rate is 7.24 per 1000 000.The highest incidence rate,17.91/1000 000,occurred on year 2015,and the lowest,8.93/1000 000,on year 2010.Measles showed a clearly seasonal character,high in April to June.The incidence rate showed a parent difference among different counties,the highest combined rate happened in Chongkou county(22.14/100 000),the lowest in Xiushan county(1.98/100 000).The total sex ratio,male to female,is 1.34:1,and it fluctuate between 1.19 to 1.46,male cases more than female.Most of the case are less than 14 years old,less than 5 year old cases take 64.8% of the total number.The proportion of less than 5 years old cases showed a obvious decline between 2009 and 2012,but a sharp increase in 2013.The incidence rate of less than 1 year age group,higher than other age group,is 187.72/100 000.Most of the cases are children or students,occupied 88% of all the measles cases.Through the analysis of immunization history of the measles cases,we found that people with no vaccination history or with an unclear vaccination history are the high risk population.The proportion of cases with no vaccination history or with an unclear history showed a obvious decline in the 8 months to 6 years old age group.There are 7759 specimens are collected during this time,which taken 43% of the total cases.The analysis of first blood specimen suggest that the proportion showed a increase along with time.The examine for antibody of measles in 1 to 16 years old children in hechuan district,Chongqing city showed a 87.78% positive rate,less than the protection level,95%.ConclusionAlthough there has been some progress in eliminating measles in Chongqing,but there is still a great way to go to eliminate measles.Therefore measures should be fully implemented to improve school-age children two doses of measles-containing vaccine ingredients routine immunization rates and timely vaccination rates,strengthen measles surveillance,timely conduct focus groups measles immunization or leakreplanting work,high-quality measles outbreak response immunization,measles control nonsocial infections,conduct annual nursery,school children vaccination certificate examination,health education,adult conduct vaccination,the immune status of the population to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of prevention and to control and eventually eliminate measles.
