Trichoscopy Observation Of The Clinical Effect Of Dermaroller Combined With Minoxidil Tincture In The Treatment Of Male Androgen Alopecia

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of dermaroller combined with minoxidil tincture on male androgen alopecia.The hair density,the variation rate of hair diameter,the ratio of hair follicle unit containing single hair,and the average diameter of hair shaft of the three groups(dermaroller combined with minoxidil group,minoxidil group,scalp nutrient solution group)were observed by trichoscopy before and after treatment,evaluate the clinical effect of three therapeutic regimens through statistical analyse,to provides a new idea for the treatment of androgen alopecia.Method:90 male patients who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria of androgen alopecia were selected from the outpatient department of dermatology of wuhan first hospital from March 2018 to October 2018,They were randomly divided into three groups of30 each.Before treatment,the age,course of disease,family history and other general data of the patients in the three groups were statistically analyzed,and the results showed that the general data of the three groups were not statistically significant and comparable(P>0.05).Patients in group A(dermaroller combined with minoxidil group)were given 5% minoxidil tincture for external use,7 sprays per time,once in the morning and once in the evening,combined with dermaroller treatment,once a week.Patients in group B(minoxidil group)were given 5% minoxidil tincture for external use,7 sprays per time,once in the morning and once in the evening.Patients in group C(scalp nutrient solution group)were given scalp nutrient solution for external use,10 sprays per time,once in the morning and once in the evening.Treatment continued for 20 weeks.Trichoscopy was used to observe the changes of hair density,hair diameter variation rate,hair follicle unit ratio containing single hair and average hair shaft diameter of the three groups before and after treatment.Clinical photos were taken before and after treatment with a camera,Physicians and patients were graded for clinical efficacy using the seven-point scoring method.Result:The hair density,the variation rate of hair diameter,the ratio of hair follicle unit containing single hair,and the average diameter of hair shaft in the three groups were all significantly improved by trichoscopy(P<0.01).All three treatment regimens have definite curative effects.Dermaroller combined with minoxidil tincture was better than using minoxidil tincture alone in improving hair density(P<0.05).Dermaroller combined with minoxidil tincture was better than using scalp nutrient solution alone in reducing hair diameter variation rate(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the improvement of hair density,the variation rate of hair diameter,the proportion of follicle unit containing single hair and the average diameter of hair shaft between minoxidil group and scalp nutrient solution group(P>0.05),The two treatments were equally effective.There was no statistically significant difference in physician and patient satisfaction evaluation between the three treatment regimens by visual observation(P>0.05).Visual evaluation of the three treatment options were equally effective.Conclusion:The treatment of male androgen alopecia by dermaroller combined with minoxidil tincture is more effective than using minoxidil tincture alone or scalp nutrient solution alone.Using minoxidil tincture alone and scalp nutrient solution alone are equally effective.In addition,compared with naked eye observation,trichoscopy can show the growth of hair more directly and objectively,with higher sensitivity and accuracy,which is a method of efficacy evaluation worthy of promotion.
