Clinical Study Of Tuina Combined With Zhongtongsan For External Application In Treating Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of tui na combined with zhongtongsan for external application in treating knee osteoarthritis,so as to offer an effective treatment for knee osteoarthritis.Methods: 60 patients who met the standard were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 30 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated by tui na combined with zhongtongsan for external application.The control group was treated by tui na.Tui na combined with zhongtongsan for external application are applied once a day or every other day,massage is performed 4 times a week,zhongtongsan for external application is applied 5 times a week,and 2 weeks after continuous treatment,scores are counted.The treatment effect of the two groups were discussed by comparing the WOMAC scores and VAS scores of the two groups before and after treatment.Result: The treatment group and the control group have a good effection in the improvement of knee osteoarthritis patients with knee pain and stiffness,the effective rates of the two groups were 89.66% and 66.67% respectively,the difference has statistical significance(P> 0.05).The VAS scores and WOMAC scores before and after treatment in both groups were compared,P<0.05,and VAS scores and WOMAC scores after treatment in both groups were lower than pre-treatment VAS scores and WOMAC scores,indicating that both treatment methods are for knee osteoarthritis.The difference between the VAS scores before and after treatment and the difference between the pre-treatment and post-treatment WOMAC scores,P<0.05,and the difference between the VAS score before and after the treatment and the difference between the WOMAC scores before and after treatment all were higher than the control group before and after treatment VAS score difference and before and after treatment WOMAC score difference,that is,the treatment effect of the two groups are significantly different,and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group.Conclusion: Both of tui na combined with self-made zhongtongsan for external application and tui na have good therapeutic effects on knee osteoarthritis.However,the treatment effect of tui na combined with zhongtongsan for external application is more obvious,the marked improvement rate is higher,the Pain is less,the cost is less,and it is easily accepted by patients,so it is worth being promoted and extended.
