Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety by researching on Sanhuoyangzhen Decoction with the treatment of spleen Yin deficiency syndrome recurrent aphthous ulcer. Methods 63 patients with recurrent aphthous ulcer(spleen Yin deficiency syndrome),from October 2016 to December 2017,collected from the TCM clinic and general clinic of Beihai Street Community Health Service Center,Yuecheng District,Shaoxing City,Zhejiang Province, were randomly divided into two groups:32 cases in the treatment group were treated with Sanhuoyangzhen Decoction and 31 cases in the control group were treated with vitamin B2 tablets and vitamin C tablets. Both groups were treated for 14 days. The number, size and pain index of ulcer, the TCM clinical symptoms and signs indexes before and after treatment were observed and evaluated.Apply OHIP-14 scale to evaluate quality of life changes of the patients before and after treatment. To record other adverse reactions.Contrast the indexes of the two groups such as the curative effect of local lesion, overall efficacy and the safety at the end of treatment.Observe the RAU recurrence of the cases who was recovery or very effective in local lesion and overall efficacy after the treatment in 3 months The statistical methods used SPSS 22.0.Results 1.Two groups' main symptoms and signs indexes were compared between before and after treatment, and all scores of the two groups were significantly improved at the end of treatment(P<0.05).Comparing main symptoms and signs indexes between the two groups after treatment, the results show that the total scores of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was superior to the control group in improving congestion, pain, burning sensation, hungry but poor appetite, abdominal distension, gastric discomfort, lips dry but absence of thirst, stool feebly and tongue, while no significant difference in the ulcer size, the number of ulcer and the ooze of ulcer(P>0.05).2.After treatment,in both groups OHIP-14 scale in the functional restricttions, physical pain, psychological discomfort, physiological disorders, psychological barriers, social barriers and disability are lower than before the treatment, the results were statistical significance(P<0.05);After treatment, the treatment group compared with the control group,OHIP-14 scale in the functional restricttions, physical pain, physiological disorders, social barriers and disability were statistical significance(P<0.05),while no significant difference in psychological discomfort and psychological barriers(P>0.05).3.Safety comparison:No significant adverse reactions in both groups after treatment.4.Compared the total effective rate of local lesion in two groups:The total effective rate of the treatment group was 90.63%,while that of the control group was 80.65%;and this differency was not striking between two groups(P>0.05).Compare the treatment group with the control group in the total effective rate of overall efficacy:the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.75%,while that of the control group was 74.19%,and the results showed significant difference(P<0.05).5.The recurrence rate of the two groups comparison:The recurrence rate of the treatment group was 36.36%,which was significantly lower than that of the control group(76.92%).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Sanhuoyangzhen Decoction has significant clinical efficacy on spleen yin deficiency syndrome recurrent aphthous ulcer.lt can obviously ameliorate the symptom of the patients with oral local and systemic, and improve the quality of life.lt also has a lower recurrence rate and high security.
