Objective: In order to understand the influence of occupational stress and musculoskeletal system diseases on the health status of coal miners, analyze the occupational stress, musculoskeletal diseases and their influence to the coal miners, exploring the relationship between occupational stress and musculoskeletal diseases,in order to put forward scientific theories and methods for their physical and mental health. Methods: we randomly selected 1500 first-line coal miners in Xinjiang for our investigation, use OSI-R scale and musculoskeletal diseases scale to investigate them.Result: 1)A total of 1500 questionnaires were distributed in this study,1346 valid questionnaires were sent out,and the recovery rate was 89.73%.The number of males was 1293(96.1%)which was much higher than that of females, and the number of Han nationality was more than that of ethnic minorities.2)Occupational stress results: Compared with domestic OSI-R norm scores, the total scores of occupational task questionnaire and individual stress response questionnaire of coal miners surveyed were higher than domestic norm, while the total scores of stress response were lower than domestic norm(P< 0.05).3)Results of musculoskeletal diseases: The annual prevalence of MSDs among coal miners was 65.2%,with the highest prevalence in the waist(53.0%)and the highest rate of sick leave(15.5%).The prevalence of MSDs in high-tension group was much higher than that in other tension group(P< 0.05).From the relationship between occupational stress and MSDs,the morbidity of MSDs increased with the increase of stress level. The morbidity of MSDs in high stress group was 3.261 times higher than that in low stress group(P< 0.05).Multivariate logistic regression equation of MSDs indicated that the work involving large bending, short time maximum force operation, repeated movements of upper arm or finger, sometimes foot slipping or falling, cold or temperature change had positive contribution to MSDs of coal miners(P < 0.05).Conclusion :1.Compared with other types of work, the degree of occupational stress of coal miners is higher.2.With the increase of age and length of service, workers are more likely to suffer from musculoskeletal diseases.3.The higher the degree of occupational stress, the greater the possibility of musculoskeletal disorders.
