| Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of acupoint application for treating winter diseases in summer combined with herbal paste in wintertime in the treatment of patients in clinical remission stage of bronchial asthma on the basis of western medicine,and to explore the relationship between the efficacy and the number of years of acupoint application,so as to give full play to the advantages of treating bronchial asthma with the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine,so as to benefit more patients with bronchial asthma.Methods:(1)A total of 60 patients in clinical remission stage of bronchial asthma who were identified by traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome differentiation as lung Qi deficiency,lung and spleen Qi deficiency,lung and kidney Qi deficiency and lung and kidney Yang deficiency were included,and were divided into the control group(n = 30)and the observation group(n=30).The control group was given basic treatment of western medicine,and the observation group was given acupoint application for treating winter diseases in summer combined with ointment recipe in wintertime on the basis of western medicine.The observation period lasted for one year,and the lung function(FEVI%,FVC%),AQLQ score,ACT score,6MWD and the number of acute attacks of the two groups before and after treatment were observed.(2)The second study retrospectively included 194 patients who were admitted to the department of respiratory department of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine during the clinical remission period of bronchial asthma from 2015 to 2018,and whose TCM syndromes were classified as lung Qi deficiency,lung and spleen Qi deficiency,lung and kidney Qi deficiency and lung and kidney Yang deficiency.147 patients who had been treated with acupoint application for summer treatment of winter diseases for 1-3 years were set as the observation group,while 47 patients who had not been treated with acupoint application for summer treatment of winter diseases were set as the control group.In the observation group,49 cases were divided into one-year group,53 cases in two-year group and 45 cases in three-year group according to the length of the application course.To compare the lung function(FEV1%,FVC%),the number of acute attacks,the number of hospitalizations between the control group and the observation group before and after treatment.Results:(1)The results of prospective observation were as follows:?Lung function:after treatment,FEV1%(86.70±15.14)in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(72.58 21.37)(P<0.05).After treatment,FVC%(87.08 9.65)in the treatment group was not statistically significant compared with that in the control group(83.28±10.97)(P>0.05).?Symptom score:after the treatment,AQLQ score(124.77±14.24)and ACT score(19.00±2.20)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(110.67±21.27,17.53±1.91),both of which were statistically significant(P<0.05).?6MWD:6MWD(398.00 15.00)in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(389.47 39.67)(P<0.05).?Number of acute attacks:the observation group can effectively reduce the number of acute attacks(P<0.05),and the effect is better than the control group(P<0.01).(2)The results of the retrospective analysis were as follows:?Lung function:after the treatment,FEV1%(86.21±19.02)and FVC%(86.21±19.02)in the observation group were statistically different from that in the control group(76.03±21.20,82.14±15.81)(P<0.05).Further statistics showed that FEV1%and FVC%increased gradually with the extension of the acupoint application course,and the improvement of FEV1%(90.95±20.75)and FVC%(96.38±18.81)in the observation group was statistically different from that in the control group(76.03±21.20,82.14±15.81)(P<0.05).?AQLQ score:in the observation group,the AQLQ score(119.09+10.57)in the three-year group was higher than that in the one-year group(114.31±8.96)and the two-year group(114.31±8.96),with statistical significance(P<0.05).?ACT score:in the observation group,the ACT scores of the three-year group(21.87 ±2.11)were significantly higher than those of the control group(19.26±2.17),the one-year group(19.90±2.13)and the two-year group(21.06±1.66)(P<0.05).·?Number of acute episodes and hospitalizations:in the observation group,the number of acute attacks and hospitalizations in one-year group(0.33±0.47,0.02±0.14),two-year group(0.17±0.38,0.06±0.23)and three-year group(0.16±0.37,0.04±0.21)after treatment were significantly reduced compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)Acupoint application for treating winter diseases in summer combined with ointment recipe in wintertime on the basis of western medicine can delay the decline of lung function,improve the quality of life,control the disease,improve exercise tolerance and reduce the number of acute attacks of patients in clinical remission stage of bronchial asthma.(2)Acupoint application for treating winter diseases in summer can effectively improve the lung function,improve the quality of life,reduce the number of acute attacks and hospitalizations,and effectively control asthma attacks of bronchial asthma.And in terms of improving the quality of life and asthma controlling,the effect is more obvious with the years of application. |
