Clinical Study Of Acupuncture Combined With Acupoint Application In The Treatment Of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy

Objective:In this study,a randomized controlled trial was conducted to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture alone and acupuncture combined with Acupoint Application in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.To provide reference value for clinic and clinical basis for the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods: This study selected 60 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy who met the exclusion criteria from January 2018 to December 2018 in the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion,Jilin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.According to their visiting order,they were randomly divided into simple acupuncture group and acupuncture plus Acupoint Aplication group.By comparing Northwick Park Neck Pain Ques-tionnaire(NPQ)and Pain Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),we observed the difference of curative effect between the two groups,and then evaluated the therapeutic schemes of the two groups.Results: 1.Curative effect comparison: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.3%,and that of the control group was 83.3%.There was significant difference between the two groups after 1 week of treatment and 2 weeks of treatment(P < 0.05).It shows that both groups have certain curative effect on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy,and the overall curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group.2.Comparison of NPQ and VAS scores: The difference was statistically significant by rank sum test(P < 0.05).The results showed that both groups had good effects after 1 week and 2 weeks of treatment,and the effect after 2 weeks was better than that after 1 week of treatment.Rank sum test(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant,indicating that the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group after 1 week or 2 weeks of treatment.Conclusion: Acupuncture and acupoint application have certain curative effect on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy,and the curative effect of acupuncture combined with acupoint application is better than that of simple use of acupuncture and moxibustion.Acupoint application therapy can be a useful supplement to acupuncture and moxibustion therapy.
