ObjectiveThe study aimed to assess the present situation of the self-perception aging, depression and quality of life among the community elderly,To analyze the relationship between self-perception aging, depression and quality of life.To provide a scientific basis for alleviating the depression of the elderly and achieved the purpose of successful aging.MethodsAcross-section investigate was conduct in April to July 2017.Totally 685 community elderly from Shenyang city in Liaoning province(Heping district,Shenhe district and Tiexi district)were selected and investigated by using general information questionnaire, the Brief Aging Perceptions Questionnaire(B-APQ),the Rasch-Derived Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D-R)and the Quality of Life scale(SF-12).Data entry and descriptive analysis,t test, anova, pearson correlation analysis, multiple linear regression analysis was conducted by SPSS20.0,and the Structural Equation Modeling(SEM)were analyze by AMOS22.0.Results1.The aging perception score of the community elderly was(47.43±13.88),the difference of aging perception score in different sex,age groups, marriage, monthly income, education levels and weekly exercise groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The depression score of the community elderly was(2.87±0.31),the difference of aging perception score in different sex,age groups, marriage, monthly income, education levels and weekly exercise groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The quality of life of the community elderly was(64.31±17.10),the difference of aging perception score in different age groups, marriage, monthly income, education levels and weekly exercise groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.The community elderly quality of life was significantly and negative related to the five subscales of self-perception aging and the four subscales of depression(r=-0.272~-0.735,r=-0.484~-0.852,P<0.05).The five subscales of self-perception aging positive related to the four subscales of depression(r=0.271~0.718,P<0.05).3.The results of simple linear regression showed that self-perception aging proved to be negative predictor of quality of life(?=-0.310,t=-10.401,P<0.001)and depression(?=0.267,t=7.054,P<0.001);The results of multiple linear regression showed that self-perception aging(?=-0.175,t=-7.387,P<0.001)and depression(?=-0.504,t=-21.770,P<0.001)proved to be negative predictors of quality of life.4.According to the structural path model,self-perception had significant direct effect on quality of life(?=-0.42,P=0.000)and depression(?=0.87,P=0.000),depression had significant direct effect on quality of life(?=-0.57,P=0.000).Moreover,there still was significant indirect effect(?=-0.50,P=0.000)of self-perception aging on quality of life through depression as mediator.Conclusion1.In terms of self-perception aging score and depression score and older in age, female, spouses lose,lower-cultural degree, lower monthly income, never exercise score higher in the community elderly. In terms of quality of life score, the younger, living spouse,high-cultural degree, high monthly income, regular exercise score higher in the community elderly.2.There was remarkable correlation among the score of self-perception aging, depression and quality of life.Self-perception aging of quality of life was significantly negative prediction function;Self-perception aging of depression was significantly positive prediction function depression of quality of life was significantly negative prediction function.3.The depression as an intervening variable function on self-perception aging and quality of life.4.The community medical staff can through this results to take steps to erect the aging perception and relieve the level of depression and improve the quality of life.
