Based On The Theory Of Rise And Fall Research For The Treatment Of Post-stroke Depression

Objective: This topic is designed to use the the theory of rise and fall,by observing the clinical use of banxiatiaoqi potion's effect for the treatment of patients with light-moderate post-stroke depression,to explore the efficacy,feasibility and safety of the treatment of post-stroke depression under the guidance of the theory of traditional Chinese Medicine.Methods: According to the subject standard choose 64 patients with light to moderate depression after stroke,were randomly divided into two groups,the treatment group and the control group of 32 cases.Both groups were treated with routine treatment,and treatment group was given the prescription,the control group was given Deanxit twice a day.4 weeks for a course of treatment,both groups of patients were evaluated with HAMD scale,NIHSS score,ADL scale and TCM syndrome scale to evaluate the improvement of clinical symptoms before and after treatment.Results: At the end of the treatment,the overall efficacy of the improvement in depressive symptoms was approximately the same(P>0.05),but the treatment group was superior to the control group in the overall efficacy of TCM syndrome(P<0.01).The improvement of depression in the treatment group,the recovery of neurological defects,and the improvement of daily activities were about the same as that of the control group(P>0.05).In two group,that scores of TCM syndrome were improve before and after treatment;however,the improvement of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was superior to that of the control group except for depression,lethargy and irritability(P<0.05).Conclusion: Based on the theory of rise and fall,using of banxiatiaoqi potion's effect for the treatment of patients with light-moderate Post-stroke depression,not only anti-depressant but it's safe and reliable,and it's clearly superior to western medicine in overall regulation and TCM syndromes.
