Objective To observe the correction effect of corneal astigmatism after Acrysof Toric intraocular lens implantation and its rotation stability, and to explore the correlation between the preoperative and postoperative ocular biological parameters and Toric IOL's rotation stability. Methods We collected 29 patients(35 eyes)who accepted phacoemulsification combined with Acrysof Toric intraocular lens implantation in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2017.All patients were measured preoperatively for uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),intraocular pressure, optometry, corneal endothelium count, ocular ultrasonography, slit lamp examination, fundus examination and the ocular biological parameters such as axial length(AL),aqueous chamber depth(ACD),lens thickness(LT),white to white(WTW),flat meridian corneal curvature(K1),steep meridian corneal curvature(K2),corneal astigmatism and astigmatic axial position. All patients accepted phacoemulsification combined with Acrysof Toric intraocular lens implantation, and follow-up for 3 months. Each follow-up measurement of UCVA,BCVA,residual astigmatism,AL,ACD,and dilation, the axial of the Toric IOL was observed under a slit lamp and recorded. At each follow-up,the UCVA,BCVA,residual astigmatism,AL,ACD were measured and the axial of Toric IOL was observed and recorded by a slit lamp after mydriasis. We compared astigmatism and visual acuity changes in preoperative and last postoperative follow-up(3 months after surgery)and recorded the degree of intraocular lens rotation after surgery.Evaluate the effect and rotational stability of Acrysof Toric intraocular lens implantation. And analyze the correlation between preoperative AL,preoperative ACD,preoperative LT,preoperative WTW,postoperative AL,postoperative ACD,preoperative-postoperative changes in AL,preoperativepostoperative changes in ACD and Toric IOL's rotational stability.Results1.Postoperatively,both UCVA and BCVA increased compared with preoperative(p<0.05).Postoperative residual astigmatism decreased compared with preoperative corneal astigmatism(p<0.05).2.Postoperative Toric IOL rotation averaged 3.0±2.20°,82.9% rotation was ?5°,and 100% rotation was less than 10°.3.Postoperative AL decreased compared with preoperative AL(p<0.05).Postoperative ACD increased compared with preoperative ACD(p<0.05).4.Preoperative AL,postoperative AL,postoperative ACD and Toric intraocular lens rotation degrees were positively correlated(p <0.05).There was no correlation between preoperative ACD,preoperative LT,preoperative WTW,preoperative postoperative changes in AL,preoperative-postoperative changes in ACD and Toric IOL rotation degrees(p>0.05).Conclusion 1.Acrysof Toric intraocular lens can effectively correct cataract with regular corneal astigmatism, improve uncorrected visual acuity, and has good rotational stability.2.Patients who accepted phacoemulsification combined with Acrysof Toric intraocular lens implantation, the axial length became shorter and the aqueous chamber depth became deepened.3.The postoperative early rotational stability of Acrysof Toric IOL was positively correlated with preoperative AL,postoperative AL and postoperative ACD,and there was no significant corelation betweren preoperative ACD,preoperative LT,preoperative WTW,preoperative-postoperative changes in AL,preoperative-postoperative changes in ACD and Acrysof intraocular lens rotation stability.
