Objective:To compare the accuracy and practicability of OPD-Scan ? marker and slit lamp horizontal narrow band marker methods in phacoemulsification and Toric intraocular lenses?Toric IOL?implantation.Methods:A prospective non-randomized controlled study was conducted in this study.A total of 29 patients?40 eyes?with cataract and regular astigmatism??1.5D?were selected in ophthalmology department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from June 2018 to December 2018.All patients underwent phacoemulsification combined with Toric intraocular lens implantation.According to different corneal markers before operation,the patients were divided into two groups:group A,14 cases?20 eyes?were marked with slit lamp horizontal narrow band method,group B,15 cases?20 eyes?were marked with OPD-Scan III method before operation.The difference of uncorrected distant visual acuity?UDVA?,best corrected distant visual acuity?BCDVA?at one week,one month and three months after operation,the absolute value of the difference between the targeted induced astigmatism?TIA?and the actual induced astigmatism?AIA?,and the degree of axial offset of intraocular lens in the three months after the operation were compared between the two groups.Results:There were no complications such as lens deviation and posterior capsular opacification occurred in 29 patients during follow-up.One week,one month and three months after operation,the uncorrected distant visual acuity of the two groupswere?0.27±0.09?0.19±0.08?0.12±0.07???0.22±0.11?0.18±0.09?0.1 1±0.07?,there was no significant difference between the two groups?P=0.676?P=0460?P=0.773?.The best corrected distant vision was?0.15±0.08?0.08±0.06?0.06±0.05???0.13±0.10?0.06±0.06?0.05±0.07?,there was no significant difference between the two groups?P=0.647?P=0.511?P=0.772?.The absolute values of the difference between the targeted induced astigmatism and the actual induced astigmatism in the three months after operation were?0.42±0.16???0.35±0.13?,there was no significant difference between the two groups?P=0.308?.Three months after operation,the degree of axial offset of intraocular lens in the two groups was?3.10±1.91?2.30±1.41?,there was no significant difference in astigmatism between the two groups?P=0.302?.The operative astigmatism at there months after operation was?0.45±0.04?0.44±0.04?,there was no significant difference between the two groups?P=0.733?.Conclusion:There was no significant difference in the accuracy of OPD-Scan? marker and slit lamp horizontal narrow band marker methods for corneal astigmatism axis marker in Toric IOL implantation.Considering the matching degree of patients and the requirements of the operators,the OPD-Scan ? marker method is more practical in clinical work and brings better experience to the patients.
