Objective: In this paper, the risk factors of DPN were investigated by comparing the general and clinical characteristics of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)with or without diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).And by measuring carotid intima media thickness(CIMT),it is predicted whether there is a correlation between DPN and atherosclerosis(AS),providing new ideas for clinical diagnosis. Methods: We collected patients who were admitted to our hospital's endocrinology department from January 2017 to June 2017.A total of 300 T2 DM patients who met the inclusion criteria were recruited.According to the diagnostic criteria for DPN,300 patients with T2 DM were divided into DPN(n=169)and non-DPN(n=131)patients.General records of patients included were included.Including age, gender, history, family history, smoking history, height, weight, and blood pressure. All fasting blood samples were collected.Including fasting blood glucose(FBG),fasting C-peptide,glycated hemoglobin Alc(Hb Alc),uric acid, total triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and other clinical indicators. And then improve the color doppler ultrasound carotid artery, measuring CIMT.The clinical indicators and CIMT thickening cases were compared between the DPN group and the non-DPN group. All data using SPSS 19.0 software for statistical analysis.Measurement data in accordance with normal distribution are expressed as (x|-)ąs,and t-tests are performed;Count data were used for chi-square test and Logistic binary regression analysis was used to screen DPN risk factors,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: 1 Comparison of two sets of general data and test indicators Compared with the non-DPN group, there were significant differences in the duration, age,TG,Hb Alc,and CIMT thickening of T2 DM in the DPN group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found in other indicators.2 Comparison of Hb Alc,dyslipidemia, duration of diabetes and CIMT stratification in patients with or without DPN.2.1 Compared with non-DPN group, the ratio of Hb Alc?9.0 in DPN patients was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).2.2 Compared with non-DPN group, the proportion of patients with diabetes duration ?10 years in the DPN group is significantly higher(P<0.05).2.3 Compared with the non-DPN group,The ratio of triglyceride ?1.7mmol/L in DPN group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).2.4 Compared with the non-DPN group,The ratio of CIMT?0.9cm in DPN group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.05).3 Logistic binary regression analysis of risk factors of DPN.Taking age, gender, duration of diabetes,BMI,FBG,C peptide,TC,TG,blood pressure,Hb Alc,CIMT,and family history of diabetes as independent variables,Logistic binary regression analysis was performed with or without the combination of DPN as the dependent variable. The results showed that: Diabetes duration,Hb Alc,TG,CIMT are risk factors for DPN.Conclusion: The duration of diabetes,TG,and Hb Alc are risk factors for the development of DPN,suggesting that the more severe the glucose and lipid metabolism disorders and the longer the time, the greater the risk of DPN.The CIMT of patients with DPN was significantly thickened, suggesting that patients with DPN are more likely to have AS.
