Objective:Analyse the related factors of leukocyte counts of expressed prostatic secretion in patients with chronic prostatitis. And the correlation between leukocyte counts and UPOINT phenotype was analyzed. Then explore the possibility of that UPOINT scale replace expressed prostatic secretion examination in the diagnosis of chronic prostatitis. Methods:During October 2017 to December 2017,a survey was accomplished between outpatients who was diagnosed as chronic prostatitis in our hospital and we record their age, body mass index, smoker, drinker and so on.The survey include The national institutes of health chronic inflammatory prostate score(NIHCPSI),and chronic prostatitis phenotype classification(UPOINT).According to the leukocyte counts in expressed prostatic secretion, patients were divided into IIIA with IIIB group, then using t test, chi square test to compared differences of age,Body mass index(BMI),smoking, alcohol consumption, symptom severity,UPOINT phenotypic amounts between the two groups of patients.Results:83 questionnaires in 97 issued questionnaires was valid, and the effective questionnaire rate is 85.6%.and there was 19 IIIA patients and 64 IIIB patients. When we compare group IIIA and group IIIB,there are no difference about age(34.58±7.90 vs 35.22±9.10),BMI(24.24±3.58 vs 24.37±3.94),smoke(31.6%vs 48.4%),drinking(10.5%vs 28.1%)and NIHCPSI scores(20.32±6.68 vs 19.38±7.57),And all the value of P is greater than 0.05.However there is distinct that two groups of UPOINT phenotypic amounts(4.37±1.57 vs 2.42±0.81;t=5.073,p<0.001),the difference mainly comes from psychological symptoms(c~2=6.459,p<0.05),organ specificity symptoms(c~2=20.808,p<0.001),symptoms of infection(c~2=28.942,p<0.001),and nervous system symptoms(c~2=16.177,p<0.001).Conclusions:1.The leukocyte counts of EPS in patients with chronic prostatitis was not correlated with age,BMI,smoking, alcohol consumption, and NIHCPSI score.2.The leukocyte counts of EPS in patients with chronic prostatitis was related to UPOINT phenotype, and the number of UPOINT phenotypes in IIIB patients was lower than that of patients with IIIA.3.A large sample clinical study is needed to further explore the feasibility of using UPOINT scale to replace prostatic fluid examination that differentiate chronic prostatitis.
