The Clinical Study Of Acupuncture Therapy Of Tongyuan In The Treatment Of Neck Type Cervical Spondylosis

ObjectiveThis study used a randomized controlled trials to Verify the exact clinical efficacy of Tongyuan Acupunctureon Therapy on treatting Neck type Cervical Spondylosis(NTCS),to explore the possible mechanism of acupuncture treatment of the disease,to broaden the idea of acupuncture clinical acupoint,to provide basis for the promotion and application of tongyuan acupuncture therapy.Methods60 cases of NTCS were randomly divided into two groups of Tongyuan acupuncture and routine acupuncture.30 patients in each.The main points of Tongyuan group are GV20,GV21,GV19,GV14,BL10,EX-HN14,BL11,SI3andBL62.The main points of the routine group are jiaji,BL10,SI3,BL62andGB39.Acupuncture on these acupuncture points,retaining the needles for 30 minutes after DeQi,Twisted the needles for every 3-5 minutes.The patients were treated 1times a day.Every 5 days for a period of treatment.One course of treatment contains two period of treatment,between these courses for two days off.The differences of scores were evaluated before and after treatment.Including Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire(SF-MPQ)and Neck Disability Index(NDI).Following up recurrence after 3 month of the treatment.All date were analyzed the sofware SPSS21.0.Results1.Baseline data comparison:The gender,age,course of disease and the scores between the two groups before treatment were had no statistical differences(p>0.05),2.Comprehensive efficacy comparison:The total effective rate of tongyuan acupuncture group and conventional acupuncture group were 96.7%and 90.0%,the marked effective rate of two groups were 73.3% and 46.7%,The differencesbetween two groups has statistically significant(p<0.05)3.Analgesia effect comparison:The total effective rate of tongyuan acupuncture group and conventional acupuncture group was 100% and 93.3%,the marked effective rate of two groups were 90% and 63.3%,The differences between two groups has statistically significant(p<0.05).4.Comparison of the SF-MPQ scale score:Both of two groups could reduce the SF-MPQ?PRI?VAS?PPI scale score,and had a statistically significant difference(P<0.01),but the tongyuan acupuncture group was better than the conventional acupuncture group.The difference between two groups was significant(P<0.01).5.Comparison of the NDI scale score:Both of two groups could reduce the NDI scale score,and had a statistical significance(P<0.01),but the tongyuan acupuncture group was better than the conventional acupuncture group.The difference between two groups was significant(P<0.01).6.Comparison of the recurrence:The recurrence rate of tongyuan acupuncture group and conventional acupuncture group were 6.7%and22.2%,but they had no statistical differences(p>0.05).Conclusion1.Both of the two methods of acupuncture had apparent clinical effect for treating NTCS.2.Tongyuan therapy of acupuncture was superior to the routine acupuncture both in analgesic effect and improveing neck function.3.Tongyuan therapy of Acupuncture has significantly reliable effect on NTCS,which is worth to be popularized.
