Clinical Efficacy On Small Needle-Knife Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of small Needle-knife treatment on knee osteoarthritis,evaluate effect of pain and daily function of knee osteoarthritis patients who's treated by small Needle-knife and electric acupuncture,and compare the effect of the two treatment regiments,proviede scientific basis for further theoretical and practical application of small Needle-knife.Methods60 patients met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria knee osteoarthritis patients were randomly divided into groups of small Needle-knife and electric acupuncture,30 cases and 30 cases.We use small needle knife to release the patients of small needle knife group with medial collateral ligaments in the upper and lower knees,the lateral and superior collateral ligaments,the inferior patellofemoral ligament,suprapatellar sac a total of six sites or alternative reaction points.Patients treated once every2 weeks,2timesfor a course of treatment.Patients in the electroacupuncture group were acupunctured with the acupuncture points: inner knee eyes,calf nose,Yinlingquan,Yanglingquan,Zusanli and acupoints selected according to syndrome type.After acupuncture,G6805 — ? electro-acupuncture therapeutic apparatus were energized at the above acupoints respectively at the frequency of 2/100 Hz density wave,once a day and five times a week,4 weeks for acourse of treatment,a total of 1 course.Criteria for evaluating efficacy were Lequesne Knee Injury Score,Pain Visual Analog Scale(VAS).The data of two groups before and after treatment were analyzed,and the results were discussed and evaluated.ResultsThere was no significant difference in gender,age,course of disease,syndrome of TCM,grade of disease,VAS score,and Lequesne knee injury score between two groups before treatment(p> 0.05).After 2 courses of treatment,the curettage rate was 70% in the small needle-knife group and 47% in the electro-acupuncture group.After statistical analysis,p <0.01,there was a significant difference in the healing rates between the two groups.Small needle knife group is better than the electro-acupuncture group.The total effective rate was 93% in the small needle-knife group and 87% in the EA group.By chi-square test,p<0.05,the total effective rate was significantly different statistically.The VAS score and Lequesne score before and after treatment were statistically significant,and the treatment effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.ConclusionSmall needle knife in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis patients have good effect.It can not only relieve the symptoms and signs of knee pain,but also improve the daily living ability of the patients.It has the advantages of short treatment period,low cost,simple and easy implementation,easy repetition and so on.It deserves to be further popularized and applied clinically.
