Clinical Study On External Application Of Jiawei Shuangbai San In Treating Children With Henoch-Schonlein Purpura And Abdominal Pain

ObjectiveBy observing the external application of Jiawei Shuangbai San(hereinafter referred to as Shuangbai San)on children with HSP in children with the frequency,degree and lasting time of abdominal,evaluate objectively the effect and to provide theory and clinical evidence for Chinese medicine external treatment for HSP children with abdominal pain.MethodPatients with HSP and abdominal pain in a total 30 cases are randomly divides into a Treatment group of 15 and Control group of 15.Both groups are given basic modern medical treatment of anti-infection,anti-inflammatory and oral Chinese decoction.Besides it the Treatment group is given external application of our hospital preparation “Jiawei Shuangbai San”,2 times a day and observes for 5 days.ResultThe total effective rate of the Treatment group is 93.33%,while that of the control group is 86.67%.There was no significant difference by statistical analysis(P>0.05).The mean duration of abdominal pain in the Treatment group is 2.93(±1.03)d and that of the Control group is 3.93(±1.10)d,with significant difference(P<0.05)by statistical analysis.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the degree,the frequency and the duration of abdominal pain by statistical analysis(P>0.05).The Treatment group shows a significant difference in the frequency of abdominal pain on the first day of treatment(P<0.05),while the control group appears on the second day,and there is a significant difference in the frequency of abdominal pain between the two groups on the 4th day of treatment(P<0.05).Both the control group and the treatment group show significant differences in the duration of abdominal pain on the 2-4th day of treatment(P<0.05).The average duration of abdominal pain in the treatment group is smaller than that in the control group,with significant differences between the groups(P<0.05).The treatment group shows a significant difference in the degree of abdominal pain on the first day of treatment(P<0.05),while the control group appears on the second day.There is a significant difference in the degree of abdominal pain between the treatment group and the treatment group on the 3rd and 4th days(P<0.05).There is a significant difference between the groups(P<0.05).ConclusionThe use of external application of Jiawei Shuangbai San can shorten the days of abdominal pain with significant effect for childhood HSP.However,there is no significant effect on the overall efficacy of the disease and the degree of abdominal pain,frequency of abdominal pain,and duration of abdominal pain.With application of topical Jiawei Shuangbai San for HSP with abdominal pain,the effect on frequency and degree of abdominal pain relief can occur earlier,as well as stabilize the efficacy of abdominal pain frequency and speed up the relief of abdominal pain degree.
