Clinical Observation Of Toutongxining Particles Combined With Sibelium Capsules In The Treatment Of Migraine Without Aura (Phlegm Syndrome)

Purpose: random control method was adopted in this clinical observation.Headache VAS score(headache degree),headache attack times and halving rate of headache attack times,headache lasting time and halving rate of headache lasting time,and TCM score of patients with migraine without aura(phlegm syndrome)were taken as observation indexes to assess clinical curative effect of Toutongxining particle combining with sibelium capsule for treating migraine without aura(phlegm syndrome),thus providing clinical new idea for treating migraine without aura(phlegm syndrome)with combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.Method: 80 patients with migraine without aura(phlegm syndrome)that accord with inclusion standards were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group using random number table,with 40 cases in each group.Patients from the treatment group were given sibelium capsule and Toutongxining particle while patients from the control group were only given sibelium capsule.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.Patients were assessed at the end of the course and were visited after one month.Result: a total of 80 cases were included in the study(each group had one case falling off).Two groups had homogeneity by analyzing age,disease course and other data(P>0.05).1.After treatment and during visiting period,the difference in headache VAS score(headache degree)between two groups had statistical significance(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was better than that of the control group;2.After treatment and during visiting period,the difference in headache attack times and headache lasting time between two groups had statistical significance(P < 0.05),and the treatment group was better than that of the control group;3.After treatment and during visiting period,the difference in halving rate of headache attack times and halving rate of headache lasting time between two groups had statistical significance(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than that of the control group;4.After treatment and during visiting period,the difference in TCM score of patients with migraine without aura(phlegm syndrome)between two groups had statistical significance(P<0.05),and the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion: in the treatment of migraine without aura(phlegm syndrome),Toutongxining particle combining with sibelium capsule is superior to single administration of sibelium capsule in improving patients' headache VAS score(headache degree),headache attack times,halving rate of headache attack times,headache lasting time,halving rate of headache lasting time,and TCM score of patients with migraine without aura(phlegm syndrome).
