The Observation Of The Clinical Effects Of Liumotang Treatment For Slow Transit Constipation

Objective: Liumotang is the commonly used clinical presciptions for the treatment of constipation,STC is a common and intractable type of constipation.To observe the clinical effects of Liumotang treatment for STC,and research the efficacy comparison between Liumotang and oral Lactose for the futher studies of the clinical curative effects of Liumotang.Method: We redomly divided 60 cases of patients with slow transit constipation of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine proctology department into three groups from November 2016 to November 2017,according to a random table generated by SPSS21.0 statistical package.The liumotang group :30 patients were given liumotang oral solution,100ml/time,twice a day.The Lactose group:30 patients were given oral lactose solution,10ml/time,three times a day.After the treatment of fourteen days,clinical symptom score,the results of the efficacy,the recurrence rate and the colon transfer function were analyzed.Results: A patient in the liumotang group quit the clinical study due to adverse reactions,there were 89 patients accomplished the study in the result.There were no significant differences in the statistical analysis between two groups comparing gender,age,course of the disease,clinical symptom score and severty of illness(P<0.05),so they are comparable.The total effective rate of Liumotang group was 93.10%,the total effective rate of Lactose group was 83.33%.There were no significant differences in the statistical analysis between two groups comparing the overall efficacy(P>0.05).After the one-week treatment,there were significant differences in the statistical analysis between two groups comparing difficulty in defecation,defecating time,poor stool output,defecation frequency,abdominal distension and the total scores.(P<0.05)After the one-week treatment,there were significant differences in the statistical analysis between two groups comparing difficulty in defecation,abdominal distension and the total scores.Three months after the treatment,there were significant differences in the statistical analysis between two groups comparing difficulty in defecation,the stool score,defecating time,defecation frequency and the total scores.(P<0.05)First defecations time:there were significant differences in the statistical analysis between two groups comparing the first defecations time.(P<0.05)Relapse rate:Three months after the treatment follow-up Liumotang group relapse rate was 13.79%,Lactose group relapse rate was 43.7%,and there were significant differences between two groups.(P<0.05)Results of colonic transit test:Liumotang group is better than Lactose group in improving the transit function of colon.Conclusion:Comparing with Lactose,Liumotang has the same significant curative effect,more significant effect in improving symptoms,and no side effect in treating slow transit constipation.It is worth popularizing in clinical use.
