Objective:To observe the effect of konjac dietary therapy to mild slow transit constipation in patients with clinical symptoms, safety indicators; to evaluate the effects and safety of konjac food in alleviating the symptoms of constipation; from the view of the traditional Chinese medicine, to provide the patients a simple, safe and effective treatment method and alleviate the symptoms of the them.Method:To choose the mild patients with slow transit constipation treating in Chengdu Anorectal Specialist Hospital during the period of May-December 2014. The control group have been given orally with polyethylene glycol 4000 powder, each time 10g, Bid, continuous for four weeks. Konjac group have been given not only the same methods of the control group but also the konjac powder adding in three meals per day, 20 g each time,3 times a day, lasting four weeks. To observe two groups of patients in clinical symptoms before and after the test (defecation, stool properties, defecation time, painfully sense of endless defecate, the defecate frequency) and changes of the indicators, such as security analysis and evaluation of konjac diet in the clinical curative effect and safety of slow light shows constipation.Result:1, the comprehensive curative effect evaluation:treatment group total effective rate was 96.87%, control group total effective rate was 86.67%, the test P< 0.05, with significant difference was statistically significant, the experimental group overall curative effect is better than that of control group.2, clinical symptom score comparison:(1) total score upon examination, the two groups before treatment (P> 0.05, no significant difference, comparable. Within two (2) the way the comparison of before and after treatment, P< 0.05, with significant difference shows two groups can improve the symptoms of constipation. (3) after treatment between the two way of comparison, the rank and inspection, P< 0.05, significant difference, statistically significant, improve constipation symptom group is better than the control group.3, the clinical symptoms are:(1) according to the comparison between the two group the score shows:after treatment, patients in the frequency of defecation, stool character, laborious and defecation time defecate these four aspects curative effect is better than that of control group (P< 0.05); The endless defecate are similar between the two groups has no statistical significance (P> 0.05). (2) according to the two groups of the scores within the group of comparison can be concluded that:all the symptoms of the two groups after treatment is better than that of before treatment (P< 0.05); 4, safety evaluation:two groups of patients with blood routine, liver and kidney function, urineroutine, electrocardiogram (ecg) were in normal range before and after treatment, two groups of patients have no obvious adverse reaction occurred in the process of treatment.Conclusion:Conclusion:konjac dietary therapy can effectively alleviate in minor slow both transmissive constipation in patients with clinical symptoms and curative effect, which is better than drug therapy alone. With the clinical application of high safety, convenient, safe, economic, easy operation, konjac dietary therapy is worth clinical promoting. Konjac; dietary therapy; slow transit constipation...
