The Clinical Study Of The Combination Therapy Of Sulfasalazine With Tonic No.1 To Blockage Of Phlegm And Blood Stasis Type Of Ankylosing Spondylitis

Objective:To evaluate the effect and security of treatment on Blockage of phlegm and blood stasis type of Ankylosing spondylitis by comparing the difference of clinical treatment effects of the Combination Therapy of Sulfasalazine with Tonic No.1 and the therapy of Sulfasalazine.Methods:Divided 60 patients with Blockage of phlegm and blood stasis type of AS randomly into two groups:the treatment group using Tonic NO.1 while the comparison group using ASAP.Compared the spinal pain VAS score,morning stiffness,distance of occipital to a wall,the distance of fingers to ground,thoracic expansion,The modified Schober test,Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index(BASDAI),Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease function index(BASFI),ESR,CRP,TCM syndromes and so on,as well as evaluated the Efficacy evaluation criteria of international AS AS working group and TCM syndrome.Meanwhile observed the adverse reactions during treatment to evaluate the effectiveness and security and dealed with the results above using statistical processing measures.Results:1.After 2 and 12 weeks of treatment,the rate of improvement degree in treatment group reaching to ASAS20(50)?ASAS 5/6 had increased apparently(P<0.05);After 2 and 12 weeks of treatment,the rate of improvement degree in treatment group reaching to BASDAI 50 had increased apparently compared with the control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).2.The total effective rate of TCM symptom curative effect were respectively 93.5%,54.8%,in the treatment group and the control group after 12 weeks'treatment,the treatment group had obvious effect than those of the control group(P<0.01)3.Both of the two group improve the spinal pain VAS score,morning stiffness,the distance of fingers to ground,thoracic expansion,improved Schober test?BASDAI and BASFI score,but those index in treatment group were better than the control group in all stages of treatment(P<0.05).4.Both the treatment group and control group can reduce ESR and CRP,but t he treatment group was better than control group(P<0.05),in reducing ESRandCRP,in each stage.5.Adverse reactions in the control group were more seen compared with the treatment group,which indicated that the latter hadd higher safety.Conclusion:After 12 weeks of treatment,the rate of improvement degree in treatment group reaching to AS AS20(50)?AS AS 5/6?BASD AI 50 and the effective rate of TCM syndrome are better than that in the control group,which indicated that Combination Therapy of Sulfasalazine with Tonic No.1 in treatment of phlegm and blood stasis type of AS has more obvious advantages compared with simple western medicine treatment of the disease.Moreover,there were no apparent adverse reactions found during treatment,which supplied reliable evidence for the clinical application of the program.
