Objectives:In recent years, the number of patients with allergic rhinitis shows a rising trend year by year.Modern medicine has conducted a variety of research and treatment for allergic rhinitis. It should be noted that the side effects of drugs and surgery are inevitable although such treatment has achieved a certain effect.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)occupies an increasingly important role in the treatment of allergic rhinitis due to its advantages of greater curative effect and less side effects, showing strong vitality and broad prospects.Abdominal acupuncture therapy is a kind of acupuncture therapy points through acupuncture on abdominal acupoints, thus taking effect of regulating the internal organs function.Modern clinical medical research has demonstrated that abdominal acupuncture can stimulate the self-regulation potential of the nervous system and the human body meridian system to gradually stabilize the internal organs to treat systemic diseases, which has significant advantages in the treatment of chronic diseases in particular.Allergic rhinitis is prone to recurrent attacks, which hence has a great impact on people's daily life, work and study. In the study, clinical observation of abdominal acupuncture combined with Bimin granules on the treatment of allergic rhinitis was conducted in patients with lung-qi deficiency,so as to form the best diagnosis and treatment schemes, providing a more diversified treatment for allergic rhinitis. Methods:A total of 60 cases of patients with allergic rhinitis were collected in Chengdu Affiliated Hospital of TCM,who met the inclusion criteria of lung-qi deficiency syndrome. All the incorporated patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the contrast group,30 cases in each group.Patients in the treatment group were administrated with Bimin granules and abdominal acupuncture treatment, while the patients in the control group were only given Bimin granules. The treatment lasted for 4 weeks.Improvement of symptoms and signs were observed both groups of patients at 1 week,2 weeks and 4 weeks;meanwhile, therapeutic scores of different periods were recorded, and the results were analyzed and evaluated by statistical methods. Results:Different therapeutic schemes were performed in the involved 60 cases of allergic rhinitis patients with lung-qi deficiency, corresponding curative effects were further recorded and analyzed. In the treatment group,14 cases were markedly effective,9 cases improved and 5 cases were ineffective, with a total effective rate of 82.14%;additionally,in the control group,4 cases were markedly effective,17 cases were effective, and 8 cases were ineffective, with an effective rate of 72.41%.Results of both groups were analyzed by non-parametric rank sum Z test, and the difference was significant(P=0.015<0.05),suggesting that there was difference in curative effect between groups, and the effect of the treatment group was much significant than that of the control group. Conclusion:In summary, our study revealed that abdominal acupuncture combined with Bimin granules and single administration of Bimin granules can both achieve good results in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in patients with lung-qi deficiency, and the treatment effect of abdominal acupuncture combined with Bimin granules is preferable to single administration.Treatment schemes adopted in the study are useful for the change and restoration of local condition and signs, thus it is worthy being tested and popularized.
