The Study On Somatoform Pain Disorder's Related Factors

Objective To investigate the status of somatoform pain disorder patitents' pain intensity,depression,anxiety,somatization symptom,social support and alexithymia,then explore the relationship between them.Method 100 somatoform pain disorder patitents who were from Qingdao Municipal Hospital and Qingdao Mental Health Center's out-patient department and ward were conducted to investigate.The patitents were tested with general condition scale,Short-Form Mc-Gill Pain Questionnaire,Hamilton Anxiety Scale,Hamilton Depression Scale,Symptom Checklist90,Somatic Self-rating Scale,Social Support Rating Scale and Toronto Alexithymia Scale.Result 1.Patients with different gender,course of disease and character had significant difference in feeling score,emotional score,Visual Analogue Scale,HAMD,HAMA,the total points of SCL-90,somatization factor,compulsive factor,depressive factor and SSS score(p<0.05).In addition,patients with different gender also had significant difference in PPI and anxiety factor,patients with different character also had significant difference in hostility factor,patients with different course of disease also had significant difference in PPI,interpersonal,anxiety and hostility factor.2.Patients with negative events or not and with different numbers of departments had significant difference in feeling score,VAS,PPI,HAMD,HAMA,the total points of SCL-90,somatization factor,compulsive factor,interpersonal factor,depressive factor,anxiety factor,phobic factor and the total points of somatic Self-rating Scale(p<0.05).In addition,Patients with negative events or not also had significant difference in interpersonal factor.Patients with different numbers of departments also had significant difference in emotional score and hostility factor.3.Patients with different ways of paying and numbers of departments had significant difference in emotional score,VAS,PPI,HAMD and HAMA(p<0.05).In addition,patients with different numbers of departments also had significant difference in feeling score,the total points of SCL-90,somatization factor,compulsive factor,depressive factor,anxiety factor,hostility factor and phobic factor.4.Patients with different numbers of initial symptom,age groups and level of education had significant difference in feeling score,emotional score,VAS,PPI,HAMD,HAMA,the total points of SCL-90,somatization factor,compulsive factor,depressive factor,anxiety factor,phobic factor and the total points of SSS(p<0.05).In addition,patients with different numbers of initial symptom and level of education also had significant difference in psychotic factor,patients with different age groups also had significant difference in interpersonal and hostility factor.5.The correlation analysis showed that it has significant difference between feeling score,emotional score,VAS,PPI,HAMD,HAMA,the total points and each point of SCL-90,the total points of somatic Self-rating Scale,the total points and each point of SSRS and TAS.6.Multiple regression analysis showed that the factor of age,PPI,HAMA,somatoform,SSRS can influence patients' depression;the factor of education,initial symptom number,VAS,PPI,HAMD and SCL-90 can influence patients' anxiety;the factor of age,feeling,HAMD,SCL-90 and SSRS can influence patients' somatoform;the factor of HAMD and somatoform can influence patients' SSRS;the factor of education,nagative events,initial symptom number and department number can influence patients' TAS.Conclusion 1.somatoform pain disorder patitents had difference in depression,anxiety,somatization and with difference in social support utilization and alexithymia.There is difference among different age,gender,character,level of education,initial symptoms,numbers of departments and course of disease of patients.2.There is a correlation among pain degree,anxiety,depression,somatization,social support and alexithymia.Meaning There is a correlation between some factors of somatoform pain disorder patitents.
