Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam linhis an ancient Vietnamese medical book, which has special significance in the history of culture, diplomacy and medicine between China and Vietnam. At the beginning of the 1970s when Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Tung visited China,A woodcut version of this book was given to China as a gift. Then,a set of editions in this book has been treasured at the National Library of China.China and Vietnam are linked by mountains and rivers. The cultural background of the two countries is similar, especially under the favorable conditions of the long-term common use of Chinese characters.Vietnam has become an early country in Southeast Asia that carry out traditional medicine exchanges with China. In ancient times, there was a close study of medicine between this two countries. After absorbing the essence of Chinese medical books,Vietnam has gradually formed a nationalized medical system and produced indigenous traditional medicine.,according to its geographical, social, cultural, and disease characteristics.Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam linh is a representative work of Vietnam's traditional medicine, and it is also a masterpiece of Vietnam's medical science. Its authorLe Huu Trac is also the most famous physician in Vietnam's medical history.Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam link was written by Le Huu Trac(a self-proclaimed sea lazy man)who was a famous medical scientist in Vietnam during Sau trieu dai Li(equivalent.to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty in China). In his early years,he studied the bookFeng Shi Jin Nang Mi Lu written by Feng Zhaozhang,a physician in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties in China.Since then,Le Huu Trac started to study medicine, and later read various books, intensively studied the clinic, and eventually in Jingxing 31th years to 47th years ofthe Sau trieu dai Li,he wrote 28 sets of 66 volumesHai Thuong Y Tong Tam linh. The book was not carved and Le Huu Trac died first. After many decades,Tang Jun Wu Chunxuan collected scattered volumes. In Jude 32th years(1879),Xoa cao collated and engraved this book, who came from the Dazhuang company in Wujiang County,Cishan Prefecture,Beining Province.Tongren temple.and was published in 27 volumes of 55 volumes in the first year of the Trieu dai Sui(1885).The original wood of this book is still in the museum in Bac Ninh,Viet Nam.There are 3 relatively complete prints, two of which were incorporated into the National Library of Vietnam and one was kept in the National Library of China. These prints are all affiliated with the above-mentioned wood, but due to the different prints, there are slight differences on the layout of printed leaves. In addition, there are many banknotes and engravings of the book in the National Library of Vietnam and the Hann Research Institute in Vietnam. This study is based on Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam linh, firstly, studying the background of the book, combining the author's situation and the process of writing,to explore the impact of Chinese medicine on the book, and the book on Vietnamese traditional medicine.Secondly, using the philological research methods to examine the compilation style and version of this book.third, analyze the main content of each set,and dig the academic thought and theoretical characteristics of the author.Fourth, examine the Chinese medical literature cited in this book and study the impact of Chinese medicine on Vietnamese medicine. It is hoped that the results of this study can initially reveal Le Huu Trac's academic thinking and characteristics of diagnosis and treatment, and can lay a foundation for the subsequent research, provide reference for clinical treatment.Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam link is a voluminous medical book. The book written in Chinese, with a small amount of mixed N o i tuy e n(in order to record their native language,Vietnamese used Chinese characters to transform into local languages)The main content of this book is a series of Chinese medical works, especially from the Ming and Qing Dynasty. The book was rich in resources,It was one of the successful examples of the succession and development of Chinese medicine in neighboring countries. The book's editorial style is unique and it was created by Le Huu Trac. The framework of the book is divided into three levels, the first layer is the set,the second layer is the volume, the third layer is the department(or class, chapter),the layers are progressivelevel by level, the system is complete, and the structure is robust. The content is rich and unique, from theories to practices, the most comprehensive summary of Vietnamese traditional medicine was carried out.Compared with its own traditional medicine,it reached an unprecedented level and still has not been surpassed. Each set of this book discusses one aspect of the problem, eachset was divided into several volumes, ranging from one volume to as many as 10 volumes. The book is complete, covering medical theories, prescriptions, drug theories, clinical subjects, medical records and so on.Among them, the medical theoriesare distributed in all volumes of the book, but mainly in the 9sets of the book;there are 5 sets in the book which include a variety of medical prescriptions that can treat clinical common and multiple diseases;drug theories involves 2 sets, including the comparisons of herbal medicine's Chinese names and Hann names;internal, surgical, gynecology, pediatric, pox and other clinical subjects are distributed in 7 sets of the book, and the content of pediatric and smallpox rashes are richest, andthetheories, diagnosis, prescriptions are very complete;another 2 sets are the medical records, both successful and failed lessons were recorded. We will introduce the main content of each set.Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam linh has fully reflected the academic ideas of Le Huu Trac, and there are also some unique features. We summarize the academic thoughts as follows:First, the way of thinking that taken from natural law of heaven and earth,Le Huu Trac has fully inherited the traditional Chinese medicine theories, focused on the natural law, thinking"the human body is a small world,"he made the analogy of the physiological and pathological phenomena of human body with the laws of natural, studied the using of Yin and Yang,Wuxing,Gossip, and Yunqi in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.Second,Le Huu Trac emphasized the underlying cause of the disease, payed attention to supporting righteousness, that the root of the disease lies in the sickness of yin and yang,qi and blood,he used more tonic prescriptions and mild drugs, less cutting prescriptions.Third,Le Huu Trac attached importance to both the congenital water fire(kidney water and fire)and the acquired spleen and stomach, especially valued congenital water and fire.He inherited Feng Zhaozhan's theory in innate water and fire, that "Mingmen is the root of the body",he was good at using the rise and fall of true yin and yang todiagnose and treat diseases,he alsothought highly of Liuweiprescription and Bawei prescription.Fourth,Le Huu Trac put forward the theory of "Vietnam had no typhoid fever" and believed that at that time, most Vietnamese people's constitutions were weak and different from that in the north(China's Central Plains region). He argued that because of local conditions, timeliness, and individuality,he did not followthe Six Classics' diagnosis of Zhang Zhongjing in Shang Han Lun.He emphasized that it is the serious cold in winter, and cold in another three seasons, the treatmentsweredivided into surface and inner body,he created threerelieving the exterior prescriptions and six internal treatment prescriptions.Fifth,Le Huu Trac dared to break through the predecessors' stereotypes and put forward some unique opinions. He believed that sputum is one of the healthiest things, the treatment was not for the purpose of dispelling it,butcuring the source. He was also good at making things simpler. All of internal, surgical, gynecological, pediatric and pox content were taken from Chinese medical books. However,Le Huu Trac simplified the original complicated theories, proposed gynecological and paediatric treatment to facilitate the Vietnamese to master Chinese medicine theories and use in clinical flexibly.Sixth,Le Huu Trac Payed attention to the collection ofgrass-roots recipes and unilateral experiences of Vietnamese,in order to treat poor people. The drug theories has clearly defined the Chinese names and Hann namesof medicines. This is where this book highlights the localization of Vietnamese traditional medicine.Seventh,Le Huu Trac's medical caseswere also unique, not only included valid inspection cases, but also contained medical cases that failed to cure. There were many Critical illness cases. He were good at recovering the evidence of dying by treating true yin and yang.By analysis of Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam linh,it can be found that Chinese medicine, especially the Ming Dynasty medicine has made a great impact on Vietnamese medicine. The main content of this book is based on the Chinese Medical Register.Feng Zhaozhang's Feng Shi Jin Nang Mi Lu is the most important source of literature, followed by Zhang Jingyue's Jing Yue Quan Shu and Li Yan's Yi Xue Ru Men.The most important feature of this book is to reintegrate the contents of various Chinese medical books and integrate them into the framework of his own meticulous construction. The contents of each medical book made up for weaknesses and completed each other.Based on the choices, the amendments were added and deleted, further sublimation was given, comments was made,to ensure that the Vietnamese could learn and use them without being complicated.Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam link is an important book on the study of Chinese-Vietnamese medical communication and Vietnamese traditional medicine, and is worthy of further exploration and research. The compilation of this book marks the basic formation of localization of Vietnamese traditional medicine and has a landmark significance in the history of Vietnamese medicine.Le Huu Tracmade the theories, diagnosis, treatment and prescriptions systematic and simplified which originate from the Chinese medicine, while closely integrating the clinical practice in Vietnam, and thus have a high clinical and practical value. The book contains a wealth of medical theories and clinical experience, and it embodies the essence of medicine in China and Vietnam. It is worth learning for people today.
