Objective:Patient safety is a global public health problem of common concern.t can fundamentally prevent and control the occurrence of medical errors,reduce or avoid medical adverse events,which can ensure the medical safety of the patients to the maximum extent.his study aims to provide background information and data support for further research on how to carry out patient safety culture by understanding the baseline data of hospital medical workers' attitudes,cognitions,and behavioral tendencies toward patient safety culture.In order to provide a reference basis for how to build a good patient safety culture and promote patient safety in the hospital,a comparative analysis of current hospital medical workers' cognition,differences,and influencing factors of patient safety culture is conducted.Method:A three grade specialty hospital in Zhuhai was selected as the research object to carry out a questionnaire survey on hospital patient safety culture(HSOPSC).After training and pre-investigation,an online questionnaire was issued to staff in the hospital meeting the investigation criteria(a total of 942 valid questionnaires were received).A qualified survey result was used to establish a database using Epidata 3.0 software,and the data of the effective questionnaire were used to make a descriptive statistics using the SPSS17.0 software.The positive response rate was calculated for each dimension and item.Measured data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation.The count data adoption rate and composition ratio were expressed.The intergroup measurement data that conformed to the normality test were analyzed by t-test and variance analysis.Result:1.The number of participants in the survey should be 1111,and 942 questionnaires were collectedactually.All the questionnaires are valid.The actual effective recovery rate is 84.8%.Under the age of 35 accounted for 55.5%,of which 49.3% were 26-35.The number of married and bred workers accounted for 63.5%.Nurses accounted for 54.1%,doctors accounted for 27%,and technicians accounted for 18.9%.The proportion of female staff is high,accounting for 84.9%,the ratio of male to female workers is 1:5.6,and the ratio of doctor to nurse is 1:2.Junior and intermediate professional titles accounted for 79.1% and bachelor's degree or above accounted for 74%.70.5% of them work overtime less than 1 hours per day,and 89.5% of them are directly contacted with patients.2.The current status of patient safety culture: the average total score was 3.74 ± 0.44,and the average positive response rate was 65.8%.The average scores of the 12 dimensions were 4.32 and 2.82 respectively.The average scores of the 42 items were 4.49 and 2.23 respectively.Two separate variables: 781 patients(82.91%)rated "very good" and "good" in the department's patient safety grade,11 patients(1.17%)evaluated as "very poor" and "poor".In the case of reporting the number of adverse events in the past 12 months,the total number of reported "nothings" accounted for 38.96%,and the total number of "1-2 cases" and "3-5 cases" accounted for 54.03%.3.The advantages of the hospital patient safety culture and the areas to be improved: The positive response rate is higher than 75% for the dominant region,and the positive response rate is lower than 50% for the region to be improved.The dominant areas of the survey are organizational learning and continuous improvement(91.61%),team cooperation(88.35%),erroneous feedback and communication(81.39%).The areas to be improved in this survey are staffing(30.15%)and non-punitive responses to errors(36.98%).4.The influencing factors of patient safety culture cognition of hospital staff were: average overtime time per day,average working time per week,occupation.Conclusion:1.The overall score of patient safety culture and the positive response rate are at a medium level,and the status of the patient's patient safety culture needs to be improved.2.The dominant areas of hospital are "organizational learning and continuous improvement","team cooperation"," error feedback and communication".Areas to be improved include: "staffing","non punitive response to errors".3.Occupation,average working time per week,and average daily overtime are the influencing factors of hospital employees' safety culture.
