Objective To evaluate the short-term clinical efficacy of the 2011 Knee Society Knee Scoring System(2011 KSS)for after total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods Forty-five patients(57 knees)who had undergone TKA in our hospital were average follow-up of 2.3years(2-4 years)postoperatively,Using the 2011 KSS to evaluate therapeutic effect of TKA preoperatively and postoperatively.It also explores the differences of 2011 KSS scores between sexes and among different ethnic groups,and analyzes the related factors that may affect the preoperative 2011 KSS.Results All the scores(except for patient expectation)significantly improved postoperatively,expectation significantly lower than preoperatively.The 2011 KSS had no difference between sexes,The Han ethnic group were lower than Kazak and Uygur ethnic group in BMI,there was statistically significant difference between Han and Kazak,Han and Uygur,no significant between Kazak and uygur.Kazak more than Han,Han more than Uygur,in Satisfaction scores,had significant differences in whatever two ethnic groups.Kazak less than Han,Han less than Uygur,in the symptoms and expection scores,Han and Kazak,Han and Uygur was significant differences in symptom score,no significant between Kazak and Uygur.There was significant difference in expectations between Han and Uygur,Han and Kazak,no significant between Kazak and Uygur.The preoperatively 2011 KSS was no correlated with the age and BMI,was positively correlated with the preoperative activity,aligement,stability,symptoms,satisfaction,expectation and functional activities was negatively correlated with pain years,expection.Conclusion TKA is an effective method for treating middle and severy knee osteoarthritis.
