Clinical Research Of Hyperbaric Oxygen Combined With Electroacupuncture In The Treatment Of Idiopathic Facial Paralysis

Objective: To observe the effect of hyperbaric oxygen combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of idiopathic facial paralysis.Methods: This study was a prospective cohort study,collecting 80 cases,inpatients and outpatients from Dalian Medical University Hospital during March 2017 to January 2018.Those cases were divided into the control group of 43 cases and the treatment group of 37 cases,according with the order of patient consultation and their own will.The control group accepted the electroacupuncture daily and five times weekly on the base of basic treatment.They were all treated with acupuncture at Sibai(ST2),Dicang(ST4),Jiache(ST6)and Cuanzhu(BL2)etc.for 4 weeks.The cure for the treatment group was the same as the control group,meanwhile acept the treatment of hyperbaric oxygen daily.Statistics of the patient's general information,such as age,gender,the facial nerve functiong rading(H ouse-Brackmann,H-B)and facial disable index(FDI).The H-B and FDI after treatment,the effective and cure days were also collected.Then applied of SPSS statistical software for data processing.Results: 1.There were no significant differences in age,sex and facial disability index scores between the two groups before treatment.2.Both H-B rating and facial disability index were improved after treatment,indicating that H-B rating and facial disability index were improved in both groups.3.The scores of facial nerve function and facial disability index in the treatment group were better than those in the control group,which indicated that the improvement of the facial nerve function rating and the facial disability index score in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.4.The overall curative effect of the two groups was higher than that of the treatment group.5.The treatment time of the two groups was shorter than that of the treatment group.Conclusion: For patients with idiopathic facial paralysis,hyperbaric oxygen combined with electroacupuncture and pure electroacupuncture have definite effect.And hyperbaric oxygen combined with electroacupuncture treatment has better curative effect,faster response time,and can be significantly shortened Course of disease.
