Objective: Based on the previous study of facial paralysis by electroacupunture, this study is to evaluate the effect with different waveforms of eletroacupunture( the continuous wave, wave of condensation and rarefaction, the discontinuous wave). Methods: 129 patients were randomly divided into three groups-wih 45 cases in the group of continuous wave,40 cases in the group of wave of condensation and rarefaction and 44 cases in discontinuous. Then treat the patients with different waveforms.Observe the curative effect by measuring indicator seven times ,calculate the cute rate of every group. The last work is to compile the statistics and to find the most appropriate waveforms in teating the facial paralysis. Results: The result shows that electroacupuncture can improve the symptoms of facial paralysis evidently, and the average cute rate of every group is 68.89%,60%,65.91% respectively. After the treatment, the effect complied among the three groups shows no significance in statistics with ranksumtest. The effect of different injury sites and the results in following-up shows no significant difference either. Conclusion: The electroacupuncture makes an obvious effect in treating facial paralysis. The relusts shows no significant difference, proved that the curative effect has no significant correlation with the waveforms in this study. To study the relationship between the effect and waveform, We should study in detail later, enlarge the sample size, improve the study mode, and so on .
