Clinical Observation Of Tuhuai Dan Siwu Decoction In The Treatment Of Psoriasis Vulgaris And The Influence On The Level Of TNF-alpha,IL-8

Objective : To observe clinical curative effects of Tuhuaidan siwu decoction in treating psoriasis vulgars as well as its influence on serum tumour necrosis factor ?(TNF-?)and interleukin 8(IL-8).Studying on the mechanism of psoriasis vulgaris treated by Tuhuaidan Siwu decoction.Methods:90 patients with psoriasis vulgarsis were enrolled in the study,all of them came from Department of Dermatology.Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese medicine.Totally patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 45 cases in each group.Treatment group were given Tuhuaidan Siwu decoction.Control group were given Qingdai compound capsule,2 times a day,each time 4 tablets.Each group was returned every two weeks.The followings were noted down carefully,such as erythema,scales,infiltration degrees,sputum itchings,skin areas,systemic symptom changes and adverse reactions.The clinical effects and PASA scores before and after treatment of each group were observed after 3 months.The levels of TNF-?,IL-8 were aslo detected.Results : 1)Treatment group cure rate was 23.80%,apparently higher than control group in 13.90%,with statistical significance(P<0.01).Treatment group total effective rate was 83.39%,significantly higher than control group in 65.14%,with statistical significance(P<0.01).3 months after treatment,patients with recovery in two groups were followed-up,the recurrence rate was 18.60% in treatment and 30.95% in control respectively,with significant difference(P<0.05).2)The levels of TNF-?,IL-8 in psoriasis patients increased obviously compared with heathy group.Difference were conspicuous(P<0.01).With the improvement of condition after treatment,serum cytokine levels in patients failed to return to normal levels,but dramatically lower than before.Difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).3)There was no statistical difference in blood routine,piss,excrement,liver function and electrocardiogram(P>0.05).Treatment group adverse reaction rate lower than control group.Conclusion:Tuhuaidan Siwu decoction can effectively improve the skin lesions of patients with psoriasis vulgaris and systemic symptom,clinical curative effect,recurrence rate is low,its mechanism may be related to expression levels of TNF-?,IL-8 in patient's body.
