| Objective: To observe the clinical effects of the combined treatment of Fu fang huzhang decoction and Narrow Band-Ultraviolet B(NB-UVB) for psoriasis vulgaris andto evaluate the PASI(psoriasis area and severity index) mark.Method: 40 patients with psoriasis were divided into 2 groups. For 8 weeks, 20 paientswere treated with the combination of Fu fang hu zhang decoction and NB-UVB andother 20 patients were treated with Fu fang hu zhang decoction only. Both groupexternally were applied with Huangqin cream. Before and after treatment, we recordedthe PASI marks to evaluate the clinic effects.Results: Before and after therapy course, We compared the mean of the PASI marks.After the first two weeks, there were no differences in the mean of the PASI marks intwo groups (P＞0.05). After 4 and 8 weeks, we saw there were differences between thetwo groups (P＜0.05). We also compared the theraputic index of the two thrapys. Afterthe first two weeks, we didn’t found the differences between the two groups. But after4 or 8 weeks, we observed there were significant differences between the twogroups. The effective rate also was compared. The effective rate of the theraputic groupwas 60%, the control group was 30%. The differences were significant (P＜0.05).Conclusions: The combination of Fu fang hu zhang decoction and NB-UVB had aremarkable clinal effect in treating psoriasis vulgaris and it was superior than taking Fufang hu zhang cecoction only. Disease course had little influnce during the treatment ofpsoriasis vulgaris. |
