This thesis was divided into four chapters and summarized the works during the master?s study. The first chapter mainly expounded the studies on the chemical constituents and antioxidant activities the caulis of Whitfordiodendri filipes. The second chapter primarily elaborated the studies on the chemical constituents and antioxidant activities the seed of Whitfordiodendron filipes. The third chapter focused on the chemical constituents and antioxidant activities of Crotalaria ferruginea.Research the aspects of pharmacognosy, chemical constituents and pharmacological of C.ferruginea was summarized in the fourth chapter.Objective:W.filipes and C.ferruginea are common medicinal and edible plants for the Bai and Yi people in Yunnan province. At present, there are few focused on the chemical constituents and biological activities of these two plants at home and abroad. It is extremely important to carry out systematic research on exploiting such resources to the maximum extent and safeguarding the safety of private drugs. Methods:The compounds were isolated and purificated from the two plants by normal phase silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography,Polyamide column chromatography, and MCI column chromatography.Their structures were elucidated by modern spectroscopic techniques(13C-NMR,1H-NMR,1H-1H COSY,HSQC,HMBC,MS)and their physicochemical properties. The DPPH method was used to study the in vitro antioxidant activities of alcohol extracts and extracts of two medicinal plants.Results:Twenty-six compounds were obtained from ether acetate and n-butanol fractions derivated from the 80%ethanol extract the caulis of W.filipedis, which were identified as 2',4'-dihydroxy-4-methoxychalcone?M1?,4,2?,4?-trihydroxychalcone?M2?,2',4'-dihydroxy-4-methoxy chalcone?M3?,4?-O-?-D-glucopyranosyl-2?-hydroxy-4-methylchalcone?M4?,4',7-dihyd-roxy-3'-methoxyisoflavan?M5?,isovestitol?M6?,7,4'-trihydroxy-2'-methoxyisoflavan?M7?,1-hydroxy-6,8-dimethoxy-3-methylanthraeene-9,10-dione?M8?,stigmasterol?M9?,?-sito sterol?M10?,7?-hydroxy-?-sitosterol?M11?,nepehinol?M12?,protocatechuic acid?M13?,2-azyl-phenylethylene?M14?,3-methoxy phenylamine?M15?,N-acetyl succinimide?M16?,glyceryl-1-octadec-9',12',15'-trienoyl-2-octadec-9'',12''-dienoyl-3-hexadecaoate?M17?,penta-triacontane?M18?,n-hexacos-5,8,11-trienoic acid?M19?,?12Z?-oetadeeenic-?-glycerol monoester?20?,1-hexadeca noic acid 2,3-dihydroxy-propyl ester?M21?,2',3'-dihydroxy propylpentadecanoate?M22?,10-methyl-5-alkenyl-8-epoxyethane-3-cycloa-crylate?13-hydroxyl?-cyclic decarbonate interna lester?M23?,n-palmityl alcohol?M24?,1-heneico-sanol?M25?,and transbutene-diaeid?M26?.The compounds M1 to M26 were obtained from the caulis of W.filipedis for the first time.Ten compounds were separated from the ether acetate and butyl-alcohol fractions derivated from the 80%ethanol extracts of seed of W.filipes, which were identified as 2?,3,6?-tridroxy-4,4?-dimethoxychalcone-2?-O-?-D-glucopy ranoside?L1?,?E?-3,2?,4?,6?-fourhydroxy-4-methoxychalcone-2?-O-?-D-glucopyranoside?L2?,ononoside?L3?,vicio-side?L4?,allantoin?L5?,sucrose?L6?,D-3-O-quebrachitol?L7?,glucose?L8?,propionic acid?L9?,and n-tritriacontanol?L10?.All compounds were firstly obtained from the seed of W.filipedis.Two compounds were derivated from the ether acetate fractions of C.ferruginea, which were identified as glyceryl-1-octadec-2-octadec-9''-enoyl-3-eicosanoate?A1?,and stigmasterol?A2?.The external antioxidant activities by the DPPH method of the extract, ethyl acetate and n-butanol from the seed of W.Filipedis was well, and the caulis of W.filipedis and C.ferruginea had some activities. Conclusion:The caulis of W.filipedis are rich in flavonoids, steroids, esters and other ingredients. The seeds of W.filipedis are mainly separated from flavonoids, alkaloids and sugars. The study on the antioxidant activities of two medicinal plants in vitro showed that the seeds of W.filipedis had good antioxidative activities. The caulis of W.filipedis and C.ferruginea had certain antioxidant activities. The research work provided a certain reference value and theoretical basis for further clarification of the active ingredients, pharmacological effects and folk medicine safety of two medicinal plants in the leguminous family.
