Zoletil and Xylazine ? are commonly used as anesthetics in veterinary clinics They have their own advantages and disadvantages when used alone.lt has been reported that the combination of two anesthetics can achieve better anesthesia,analgesia and muscle relaxation,and can also reduce the amount of medication and their respective adverse reactions.However,the related experiments applied to sheep have not been reported.Therefore,this experiment combined Zoletil with Xylazine ?,and anesthetize the sheep by combination anesthesia of both intravenous and intramuscular.In the anesthesia process,the physiological indexes such as respiration,heart rate.body temperature,blood oxygen saturation and pain response were monitored,and the monitoring results were statistically analyzed to provide reference for clinical anesthesia of sheep in the future.In this experiment,9 healthy adult sheep were randomly divided into 3 groups,3 sheep in each group,which were group A,group B and group C.Among them,group A was intravenous injection of 1 mg/kg(0.02 nL/kg)Zoletil.intramuscular injection of 0.5 mg/kg(0.005 mL/kg)Xylazine ?,group B was intravenous injection of 1 mg/kg(0.02 mL/kg)Zoletil,intramuscular injection of 1 mg/kg(0.01 mL/kg)Xylazine?.and group C was intravenously injected with 1 mg/kg(0.02 mL/kg)Zoletil and intramuscularly with 2 mg/kg(0.02 mL/kg)Xylazine ?.The results showed that the analgesic time of the group A,the group B,and the group C was 19.00±2.65 minutes,52.67+1.53 minutes,and 60.00=12.12 minutes respectively.There was no significant difference in respiratory rate and heart rate between the group A and prenarcotic indexes.There was no significant difference in blood oxygen saturation between the group B and prenarcotic indexes,and the respiratory rate and heart rate were significantly different in and prenarcotic indexes.There was a significant difference in respiratory rate between ihe group C and prenarcotic indexes.and the heart rate and oxygen saturation were significantly different at 10 minutes after anesthesia.The body temperature of group A,group B and group C showed significant difference after 50 minutes of anesthesia.The experimental results showed that tlie combination of Zoletil and Xvlazine ?can be used for sheep to achieve good anesthetic effect.Anesthesia time of 52.67±1.53 minutes can be achieved according to the dose of Zoletil lmg/kg(0.02mL/kg)inlfavenous injection and Xylazine ? 1 mg/kg(0.01 mL/kg)intramuscular injection.Compared with other dose groups,it had better anesthetic effect and could meet die requirements ot clinical surgery.In clinical practice,the anestlietic dose of the group B was applied to the animal model of periosteal destruction in femoral tochlear of cashmere goats.The results showed that the anesthetic dose had a good analgesic errect and the postoperative cashmere goats recovered well,which could meet the anesthesia requirements of clinical operation.
