The experiment was conducted by comparing different container matrices consist of peat,humus soil,T.fortunei fiber powder and sawdust,with yellow soil and humus soil(1:1)as control,adopting orthogonal design L9(34).The morphological,physiological and resistant characters of two-year seedlings growing in different matrix were investigated in order to evaluate the effects caused to characters of seedlings by different matrix and screen optimum matrix formula for T.fortunei seedling cultivation by membership function method.The results are as follows,Effects of different matrix on growth characters of T.fortunei seedlingThe results showed different regular patterns among seedlings in different cultivate matrix.And there were significant difference in seedling height,ground diameter,gross root length,total root surface area and biomass among T.fortunei seedlings in different matrix.The cultivate matrix formula of humus:peat:T.fortunei fiber powder:sawdust=1/2:1:2:1/3 is the best cultivate matrix for the growth of T.fortunei container seedling.Effects of different matrix on photosynthetic and physiological charactersThe results showed that there were significant difference in photosynthetic and physiological indicators among T.fortunei seedlings in different cultivate matrix.The seedlings of the eighth matrix performed best in Chlorophyll content,net photosynthetic rate,transpiration rate,stomatal conductance and inter-cellular CO2concentrationin.and it also performed well in other index except the root activity and WUE,which indicates the matrix formula of humus:peat:T.fortunei fiber powder:sawdust=1/2:1:2:1/3 is the best cultivate matrix for boosting the physiology of 2-year T.fortunei container seedling.Analysis of drought-resistance of 2-year T.fortunei seedling in different matrixThe results showed that under drought stress,the content of soluble sugar,proline,and MDA,as well as the conductivity of seedling leaves increased along with the drought stress time last,while the activity of root were decreasing,and the activity of SOD demonstrate various pattern of changing under the stress.According to the comprehensive results calculated by membership function method,the cultivate matrix formula of(5th)humus:peat:T.fortunei fiber powder:sawdust=1:1:2/1:1cultivates the best drought-resistant 2-year T.fortunei container seedling.Besides,the3rdd and 8thh matrix showed relatively better resistance to drought stress.Analysis of cold-resistance of 2-year T.fortunei seedling in different matrixThe results showed that under the low temperature stress,the content of soluble sugar,proline and MDA increased as the temperature became lower,and the activity of SOD still demonstrated various pattern of changing under this stress.In the early stage of stress,the seedlings reduced the damage caused by low temperature by increasing the content of soluble sugar and proline,and enhancing the activity of SOD,which are the protective reactions of plants.As the intensity of low temperature stress exceeds a certain range,plants are more seriously injured and the seedlings appear to start nociceptive response.The activity of SOD began to decline and the electrical conductivity increased apparently.According to the comprehensive results calculated by membership function method,the cultivate matrix formula of humus:peat:T.fortunei fiber powder:sawdust=1:2:1:1/3 cultivates the best cold-resistant 2-year T.fortunei container seedling,the 3rdd and 8thh matrix also showed relatively better resistance to cold stress.The result of best matrix screeningThe comprehensive results of growth,physiological and resistant parameters and comprehensive evaluation results showed that the matrix formula of humus:peat:T.fortunei fiber powder:sawdust=1/2:1:2:1/3 is the best matrix for the cultivation of the T.fortunei container seedling.
