Epidemiological Of Sheep Pox Disease In Yongdeng County,Lanzhou City

Sheep pox disease also known as sheep smallpox,as a type of disease stipulated by the Ministry of Agriculture of our country,the World Animal Health Organization(OIE)has listed it as one of the animal diseases that must be reported,also it is one of the common infectious diseases in sheep of Yongdeng County..Sheep pox disease is caused by the sheep pox virus in the poxvirus family,the virus size is about 150 nm ~ 180 nm,and the shape appears oval.The main feature is the systemic skin,and sometimes mucosa or internal organs appear typical smallpox,the disease can occur throughout the year,but mainly in the spring and autumn.The average incubation period is 6-8 days,the Case fatality rate of lambs can reach as high as 100%.1.Conducted a comprehensive statistics on the incidence of sheep pox disease recorded by the Yongdeng County Epidemic Control Center and other belonged villages from 2007 to 2016.2.Blood samples were collected from sheep in farms with clinical symptoms of sheep pox disease in Yongdeng County in the all seasons in 2016.A total of 261 farms were collected,covering all 16 townships.Annual total collected 7812,the spring of 7812,the summer of 623,the autumn of 3517 and the winter of 468,each farm(household)showed all the symptoms of sheep blood,the total collected 2593,showed no clinical symptoms in the same flock of sheep according to restock random sampling,20% of the total,2985 in sheep pox disease clinical symptoms of farms(households)the club according to per 20% of the amount of sheep flock of clinical symptoms does not appear random sampling,collected 2234 copies3.The clinical manifestations of sheep through clinical diagnosis,pathological diagnosis to make a preliminary diagnosis,through the differential diagnosis of sheep mouth sores and sheep foot-and-mouth disease may be diagnosed by serological examination of the disease as sheep pox disease;did not show the clinical Symptom of the sheep through serological examination to determine whether the infected sheep pox disease.4.Results: In 2007-2016,there were only 11,124 sheep with the incidence rate of 0.28%.There were only 2401 dead sheep with a Case fatality rate of 20.1%.The main disease occured in Yongdeng County was Wushengyi,Pingcheng and Seven Mountain Township.The positive rate of the sheep showing clinical symptoms was 100% by serological examination,and the positive rate by serological examination of sheep showing no clinical symptoms was 27%,no clinical symptoms the flock of sheep to with the club to have a positive conclusion by serological examination.According to all the blood of the sheep,The average positive rate of 44.4%.According to the interviewed survey,the access to the data,the statistical results of the official data and the data of laboratory diagnosis,the incidence of sheep pox disease in Yongdeng County shows an increasing trend each year,the incidence is severe,the occurrence of sheep pox disease and the conditions of population and immunisation The season,age,variety have a great relationship.Existence: The number of herds increased,herd density increased,and her chances of morbidity increased.There were 265,000 sheep in Yongding County in 2007 and 600,000 sheep in 2016.The number of sheep herds increased by 335,000 during the ten-year period,with the same incidence from 2007 The year 615 increased to 3544 in 2016,an increase of 2929;Immunization: unvaccinated vaccines increased the chances of infection,Yongdeng nearly a decade of official data that 94% of the sheep were unvaccinated;The season: the disease occurred throughout the year,but mainly in the spring and autumn,the total number of cases from 2007 to 2016 was 11,124,but the spring incidence was 4644,the number of fall was 4985,while the number of onset in summer only 905,the number of onset in winter is only 590.Age: lamb susceptible,followed by the old sheep,according to statistics,the incidence of sheep in Yongdeng County accounted for 63% of the sheep in the past decade,30% of old sheep,and adult sheep accounted for only 7%.Varieties: The fine wool sheep is more susceptible than the other varieties of sheep,and the rough sheep and the soil sheep have some resistance.The results show that in the past ten years,the incidence of sheep pox disease in Yongdeng County was the fine wool sheep accounted for 87%,the semi-fine wool accounted for 6%,the coarse wool accounted for 7%.
