Objective: In recent years older dogs began to increase in the incidence of clinical account for a large proportion of heart failure in dogs can lead to death.Pet owners and clinical veterinary more and more on the research of the disease.This article analyze the cases of heart failure in dogs, discuss from the etiology, clinical symptoms, diagnosis and treatment aspects such as adding new content, in order to reduce the pet pain, extend the life of the pet.Methods: According to interrogation, auscultation, clinical symptoms, the causes for the period from July 2014 to January 2015 animal hospital admissions of 16 cases of patients with heart failure in dogs preliminary diagnosis. Combined with blood tests, X-ray, echocardiography, ECG for diagnosis of cases. Use to remove the cause, reduce cardiac stress, relieve breathing difficulties, enhance the principle of myocardial contractility and symptomatic therapy for treatment.Routine blood mainly check the white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. Blood biochemical mainly check the urea nitrogen,creatinine,alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, aspartate aminotransferase and creatine kinase. X-ray measurement system using the vertebral body(VHS) to observe changes in heart size, if VHS> 10.5V, the dog’s heart volume increases, the heart dilates heart failure. Echocardiography for diagnosis of heart failure due to dilated cardiomyopathy or valvular disease.Results: 10 cases in stable condition, 1 case is still in treatment, 1 case of illness relapse, 4 cases died.Conclusion: Our use of new diagnostic, treatment options limited acceptance of the pet owner, is a prerequisite factor affecting the diagnosis and therapeutic effect.It is noteworthy that this disease can not be cured, only controlled, with great harm, so pay close attention to the causes of heart failure in dogs disease, preventive measures for the prevention and treatment of this disease is of great significance.
