Analyzing The Design Of Cultural Derivatives From The Perspective Of Semiotics

The research object of this paper is the design and development of university cultural derivatives.The focus of this paper is to sort out the contents of university culture from the perspective of cultural symbols and to explore the methods of product transformation of cultural symbols.Firstly,this paper introduces semiotics theory to clarify that the essence of the design of university cultural derivatives is the transmission and materialization of university cultural symbols.Secondly,from the perspective of cultural symbols,this paper collects and collates the cultural derivatives of six universities at home and abroad,analyses the usage of cultural symbols,carriers and forms commonly used in the design of university cultural derivatives,analyses the types of cultural symbols,and summarizes the resources of cultural symbols and cultural symbols of universities.Use method.Finally,on the basis of the research results,the cultural symbol resources of Jinan University are sorted out in detail,and the design practice of cultural derivatives of Jinan University is carried out.The introduction of semiotic theory aims at eliminating the blindness of the design process and improving the systematization and logic of the design process of cultural derivatives.Cultural symbols are carriers of culture.University cultural derivatives are the manifestations of cultural symbols after materialization.Using cultural derivatives to present Abstract spiritual and emotional elements in a way that is more comprehensible and acceptable to the audiences will contribute to better dissemination and inheritance of University culture.Using semiotic thinking to analyze the design of university cultural derivatives can help university cultural managers and designers to enhance their rational understanding of cultural symbol resources,symbol types and symbol application methods,so as to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the design.
