A Study Of Hongqiao International Airport And Its Relation To Hongqiao Comprehensive Transportation Hub

With the trend of popularization and scale of air transportation,the function of the airport has gradually changed from a terminal which only provides services for air transportation into a comprehensive transportation hub which integrates multiple transportation modes such as aviation,railway,subway,coach,and bus.In 2010,the completion and commissioning of the Hongqiao Comprehensive Transportation Hub makes Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport as one of the few old airports which has survived to this day and maintain civil aviation functions,into a large modern airport comprehensive transportation hub connecting multiple modes of transportation which continues to provide high-quality services a gateway hub airport in China,the integration of Hongqiao Airport's transportation infrastructure and its own healthy and sustainable development are unique in the world.This article takes Hongqiao International Airport as a research case,reviews its development history in the past 100 years,tries to analyze the impact of key nodes on the development of the airport,and summarizes the main strategies of Hongqiao Airport to improve operational efficiency.This paper first studies the development status of airport comprehensive transportation hubs at home and abroad under the background of coordinated development of transportation,and obtains the layout mode and unique attributes of airport comprehensive transportation hubs.With this as the starting point,it clarifies the current situation of the development of airport comprehensive transportation hubs in China.Then,sort out the current status of the use of modern airports in China,and clarified the uniqueness of the development of Hongqiao Airport in the history of Chinese civil aviation,review the history of Hongqiao Airport's early renovation and expansion,and summarize its construction and development characteristics.Next,it studied the construction process of Hongqiao Airport through the operation of Hongqiao Comprehensive Transportation Hub and the upgrade and reconstruction of Terminal 1 was gradually developed into a comprehensive airport hub with complete functions,summarize the implementation effect of the project and the main problems existing in the current situation.Finally,by comparing and analyzing the efficiency of Hongqiao Airport with typical airports at home and abroad,the strategy for efficient operation of Hongqiao Airport is further clarified.Based on the combination of theory and the case study of Hongqiao Airport,the paper believes that the construction and development of a comprehensive transportation hub in an existing airport can achieve the sustainable development of the airport and can effectively solve the complex problem of land-side ground transportation transfers at large airports,and its actual effectiveness is very considerable and rapid.As the construction of airport comprehensive transportation hub involves a wide range of issues,it is necessary for the government to take the lead in overall planning,break the industry segmentation and improve the coordination mechanism,and scientifically and rationally determines the construction timing and transportation network connection plan based on the conditions and constraints of different airports.The whole thesis contains about 68 000 words,85 pictures and charts.
