The Impact Of High-speed Railway On The Spatial Spillover Effects Of Tourism Flow In China

The operating mileage of China’s high-speed railway ranks first in the world.The development of high-speed railway has a profound impact on the spatial distribution pattern and evolution of regional tourism flow.At present,there are differences in research conclusions about the impact of high-speed railway on tourism flow.Meanwhile,the impact of spatial factors has not been fully considered in the research.The study on the influence of high-speed railway on the spatial spillover effect of regional tourism flow is helpful to understand the spatial flow phenomenon of tourism flow caused by high-speed rail factors.This paper started from the perspective of spatial econometric analysis,adopted panel data from 2008 to 2016,built the Spatial Econometric Model,and empirically studied the impact of high-speed railway on the spatial spillover effects of tourism flow in China.The research results indicated that:(1)Under the condition of geographic distance space weight matrix,high-speed railway has a significant positive direct effect on tourism flow in the region,and the promotion effect of high-speed railway on the tourists in the region is obvious.the influence of high-speed railway on the spatial spillover effect of tourism flow is significant,the spatial spillover effect of high-speed railway is greater than the direct effect.(2)Based on the threshold distance geographical weight matrix,the results show that there are spatial scale differences in the impact of high-speed railway on tourism flow.The direct and total effects of high-speed railway on regional tourism flow are significant and positive under different threshold distances,under the threshold distance of0-1200 km,the larger space scope,the more obvious the promotion effect of high-speed railway on the regional tourist flow.At the same time,under the threshold distance of 0-600 km,the high-speed railway has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on the tourism flow in surrounding areas,and the spatial spillover effect is greater than the direct effect.The research result of this paper is a further expansion of the current research on the influence of high-speed railway on tourism flow.Finally,combined with the research conclusion,the study puts forward relevant policy suggestions.
