In recent years,with the growing maturity of related technologies of artificial intelligence,artificial intelligence has begun to enter the commercialization stage.More and more application scenarios of artificial intelligence technology have been implemented,and the artificial intelligence industry chain has been gradually improved.Driven by national policies and market environment,artificial intelligence has started to integrate with traditional industries,re-energize traditional industries,promote innovation and efficiency of traditional industries,and become a favorable weapon for traditional industries to realize transformation and upgrading in the era of intelligence.As the pillar industry of national economic life,energy is confronted with such difficulties as increasingly exhausted energy resources,increasingly serious environmental problems and increasingly complex and changeable energy management system.In 2015,China successively introduced policies such as "Internet +" and smart energy,which accelerated the integrated development process of artificial intelligence and energy industry,and the intelligent development of energy system has become the general trend.This paper first analyzes the current development status of China’s artificial intelligence and energy industry in depth,and finds that the current artificial intelligence is only developed in Beijing,Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Guangdong with a relatively mature development and rapid growth.The artificial intelligence in other parts of the country is still in its infancy and has not yet shown signs of vigorous development,showing a serious regional imbalance.Therefore,the five provinces mentioned above are taken as representative provinces to conduct corresponding empirical research in the research of regional issues.In order to objectively and comprehensively measure the comprehensive development of the current artificial intelligence and energy industry,the evaluation index systems are constructed respectively.Since there is no precedent to follow in the evaluation index system of artificial intelligence development,this paper adopts factor analysis method to construct the comprehensive development evaluation index system of artificial intelligence and verify the scientific and rationality of index system.Furthermore,this paper uses the entropy value method respectively to deputies to the national and province evaluation index weight,and finally got the 2011-2017,deputies to the national and provincial artificial intelligence and energy industry comprehensivedevelopment index.Moreover,it is found that the technical level,scientific research and education level and financial support are the important factors that restrict the development of regional artificial intelligence development and shows that the development of artificial intelligence in China is in the stage of technology promotion.Finally,the results show that the energy industry in China has reached a bottleneck period with a slow growth rate,while artificial intelligence is in a stage of rapid development.In the representative provinces and cities,due to the differences in political and economic status,natural resource endowment and so on,the energy industry and artificial intelligence development show unbalanced development status.Among them,the development of the artificial intelligence in Beijing and Shanghai is better than that in the energy industry,which belongs to the regional development model that emphasizes science and technology over energy.The development model of Guangdong and Jiangsu gives consideration to the coordinated development of science and energy,and the development level and growth rate of the artificial intelligence and the energy industry in Zhejiang province are at a low level.In order to explore the integration development process of artificial intelligence and energy industry at the national and regional levels,the coupling degree and coupling coordination degree of them in China and representative provinces and cities from 2011 to 2017 were measured respectively based on the model of coupling degree and coupling coordination degree.According to the stage division of coupling coordination degree,the following results can be obtained: during the statistical period,the coupling degree of artificial intelligence and energy industry at the national level has been at a high level,but they officially entered the coordinated development stage in 2012.The coupling and coordinated development degree of the artificial intelligence and the energy industry in the five representative provinces and cities are not the same,and all of them show excellent coupling development,but there are large regional differences in the level of coordinated development.Beijing is the first city to realize the coupling and coordinated development,and Guangdong,Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces also realized the coupling and coordinated development one after another.By the end of the statistical period,the coupling and coordinated development between artificial intelligence and energy industry has not been realized in Shanghai.In order to explore the influence of the degree of integration of artificial intelligence and energy industry on the development level of regional energy industry,this paper,taking Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces as representatives,firstly uses the comprehensive evaluation index system of energy industry to calculate the comprehensive development index of energy industry of the two provinces from 2000 to 2017.After considering the influence of six factors on the development level of the energy industry,namely,the level of regional economic development,the level of education,the level of fiscal expenditure,foreign investment,industrial structure and the level of science and technology,the synthetic control method was used to observe the influence of the comprehensive development level of the energy industry on the integration development level of artificial intelligence and energy industries between2000 and 2017.The results show that as long as the artificial intelligence and energy industries in the two provinces achieve coupling development,the comprehensive development index of the local energy industry can be improved,and the annual growth rate is more than 20%.This empirical result passed the placebo test and the sequencing test,and was significant at the 10% level,indicating the robustness and effectiveness of the experimental results.From the perspective of data,it strongly confirmed the great potential of artificial intelligence in re-energizing traditional industries.Considering the unbalanced development of artificial intelligence,from the perspective of talent training,this paper analyzes the relationship between the supply and demand of talents in China’s artificial intelligence and the current situation of education,and points out that,in order to give full play to the growth-driving function of artificial intelligence on energy industry,the possible innovation path on the talent training of artificial intelligence and energy-related disciplines is proposed.Finally,according to the research conclusion of this paper,on the issue of how to promote the coordinated development of artificial intelligence among regions,how to guide the integration process of artificial intelligence and energy industry according to local conditions,and how to speed up the training of talents with multi-disciplinary backgrounds in the field of artificial intelligence,put forward corresponding policy suggestion,with a view to maximize the science and technology dividend of artificial intelligence,help the construction of intelligent energy in our country.There are 31 figures,20 tables and 125 references in the paper.
