Since the 21 st century,with the rapid development of economy and the improvement of construction level,the theory of engineering management has become more and more perfect.Schedule management is an important part of project management and plays a vital role.However,due to the increasing scale and complexity of highway construction,the traditional means of schedule management can not meet the needs of current schedule management,and its limitations are gradually exposed,such as: serious loss of project information,unreasonable project schedule preparation,project schedule.It is difficult to track and supervise,and to coordinate progress,quality and progress.BIM technology makes up for the defects of traditional progress management with its advantages of visualization,simulation,optimization and coordination.However,the BIM technology in China is still in the initial stage,and the BIM-based progress management method still needs to be further studied and improved.Firstly,the traditional schedule management theory,control method and work content are elaborated in depth.At the same time,combining with the analysis of the characteristics of the current expressway construction project management,this paper compares and analyses the traditional progress management theory and progress control method,and summarizes the limitations of the current traditional project progress management.In addition,the advantages and characteristics of BIM technology and PDCA principle are compared and analyzed,and the value of applying BIM technology and PDCA principle to Expressway schedule management is summarized.This paper will elaborate on the construction method of progress management model based on BIM technology and PDCA principle,analyze the advantages and disadvantages of BIM application software,and make a detailed description of the construction of progress management model,including functional requirements,construction ideas and the basic framework of the model.On this basis,this paper studies and puts forward the BIM technology and PDCA principle-based progress management of construction progress preparation,progress optimization,progress plan implementation,progressmonitoring and progress plan adjustment,the BIM progress management work content and implementation methods.Secondly,using the theory of probability and mathematical statistics,this paper puts forward the method of predicting the reliability of project duration.This study has innovative and guiding significance for the refinement,quantitative and scientific analysis of construction progress.Finally,through a project case analysis.In this paper,specific engineering cases are listed to introduce the construction method and process of BIM model in progress control,evaluate the practical value of BIM model in project progress management,and provide a reference for the promotion of BIM in construction engineering.
