As the scale of the construction industry continues to expand,the project overdue phenomenon is widespread,the progress of the existing management method has certain limitation,and construction projects to complex,large-scale development trends,the status of these industries progress management High demand,the urgent need for a more effective schedule management methods to improve the status of these industries.Therefore,study of construction schedule management has the important practical significance.The high-speed development of BIM and extending application of PDCA circulation principle to establish a scientific and effective management method provides a new train of thought.In this paper,on the basis of the traditional schedule management method,integrated the advantages of BIM and the PDCA cycle principle,which is proposed based on BIM and PDCA.That realized the optimization,the matter in advance of schedule management control,and after the event.The main contents are follows.First of all,This paper selected the construction progress management as the main content of research,which based on the two considerations of the construction scale continues to expand and schedule lag the universality.On the basis of reviewing the related literatures at home and abroad,summarize the traditional schedule management,schedule-management-based PDCA,the successful experience of schedule-management-based BIM and analyze the disadvantages of all the three methods of schedule management.The research content,research direction and technical route of this paper are put forward in this paper.Besides,this paper introduces the traditional schedule management theory,the BIM technology and the PDCA cycle principle in sequence.It also further discusses the relationship between the three,the changes and values brought by the BIM and PDCA in schedule management.It shows that BIM is technology optimization tools and PDCA management process optimization tools in the BIM and PDCA of schedule management system.In order to realize the schedule on time,the two tools are complementary and they improve schedule management system,analyze and manage the schedule influential factors.Third,integrate of the advantages of the schedule management theory,BIM and PDCA circulation principle,this paper set up the management system and introduce the main steps and key points of this method,which guided by the main procedure of schedule management and schedule influential factors management.This method is on the basis of the traditional schedule management theory.It introduce not only the PDCA optimize schedule management process which standardize the process management,but also the BIM which supplement the traditional schedule management technology and strengthen process management so as to ensure that each step effectively.The schedule influential factors management base on the PDCA,which firstly apply the 5M1E analysis method to search out the schedule influential factors,and then use the BIM technology to control those influencing factors in advance and current two phases so that achieve to the manage and control the influencing factors in comprehensive.The method realizes the optimization in advance,control during the event and consolidation afterward of schedule management.Fourth,combining with the cases of practical projects,this paper introduces the implementation process of construction schedule management based on BIM and PDCA,covering the contents such as analyzing schedule influencing factors,establishing the 3D model,drawing schedule plan,building up the 4D model,the application of BIM based on model and the integration application of BIM 5D platform.It proved that this method is effective,and further provides the summary of its effects.Finally,the paper summarizes the research results of this method and there are four conclusions:first,the dimension is wider,the information is more comprehensive;second,the management procedure is specific and optimization;third,the analysis of schedule influential is inclusive;fourth,the solution time of schedule influential factors management is advance.In addition,this paper also analyzes the shortcomings of this study and proposal the future research method.
