Research On Spatial Characteristics Of Settlement Landscape Of Mulao Villages In Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County

Mulao nationality is a nationality with a long history in South China,living in Guangxi and Guizhou.Mulao Village,as the living space of Mulao culture,records the history,culture,art form and spiritual connotation of the village.It plays an important role in the inheritance and development of Mulao culture.Luocheng is the only Mulao Autonomous County in China.Mulao characteristic villages have typical national features and are the materialized carrier of Mulao culture.At present,with the social development and the change of life notion of people,the traditional landscape of the Mulao minority villages in Luocheng has gradually changed.However,the academic research on Luocheng Mulao characteristic village settlement landscape is relatively scarce,and a systematic and detailed analysis of the settlement landscape space is deficient.In view of this situation,by taking two Mulao characteristic villages-Mulao Shiweitun of Zhongshi Village and Daledongtun of Longteng Village in Luocheng-as the research object,the author makes specific research on four aspects of these two characteristic villages-the general village situation,space elements,site selection and spatial layout characteristics,residential building shapes and features.In terms of general village situation,an overview introduction is made from the region and location of villages;in the aspect of space elements,the external and internal space elements of villages are contrasted;then the site selection and spatial layout characteristics are analyzed;finally,about residential building shapes and features,the space use characteristics,material and technical characteristics,decorative arts features of dwellings of Mulao Villages are summarized.Based on the above research,this paper summarizes the spatial characteristics of the landscape of the Mulao minority village in Luocheng and concludes that the site selection depends on farmland,mountain and water potential;the spatial distribution of settlements is compact beside farmland and forest,which makes a symbiotic pattern of mountain,water,forest and field;Mulao residential building courtyard-style households are connected,and the house layout obeys ritual system.Finally,on the basis of recording,analyzing and summarizing,this paper discusses the problems that Mulao characteristic villages in Luocheng are facing at this stage.Combined with the objectives and tasks of the rural revitalization strategy,this paper puts forward suggestions on inheritance and development from four levels: protecting livable environment,flourishing Mulam culture,enhancing the image of tourism and cultivating Mulam craftsman.
