The Research On The Design Strategy Of Old Community Cultural Activity Center Under The Background Of Urban Renewal

After nearly 20 years of rapid development in China,urbanization has gradually entered the mature stage.As an important way to optimize urban resources and enhance the quality of the city,the renewal of old city has become a general concerned research in academic circles.In the process of urban renewal,more and more cities begin to take urban culture and community culture as important factors to promote urban transformation in order to deal with the problems of urban homogenization and context fault.As the basic material and social unit of urban development,communities,especially the old urban communities with a long history of evolution,are often located in the central area of cities,which have long-term humanistic precipitation and have great influence on the overall urban landscape.Because of the aging of resources and population structure,lack of infrastructure and insufficient public space,the renewal of old urban community has become the key and difficulty of urban community renewal in China.In order to meet people's growing demands for cultural activities,strengthen the sense of community cohesion and beloging,the renewal of old communities has begun to pay attention to the construction of community culture,and the community cultural activity center is becoming an important way to promote the construction of community culture.As the most grass-roots cultural architecture,the community cultural activity center has a large quantity and wide coverage.It has the most closest relationship with the people's daily life and serves all the community residents.And it is also a reflection of the new needs of community cultural life after a certain level of urban development.However,after the field research on Shanghai,we find it a pitty that the cultural activity center which is as the community cultural facility derived from the community center has several problems such as insufficient quantity,uneven distribution,inadequate function allocation,low efficiency and lack of close contact with the urban environment so that it is difficult to effectively carry out and organize community cultural activities.Thus,in order to improve the adaptability and influence of the community cultural activity center on the daily life of the local residents,avoid the disconnection between community cultural activity center and the daily life as well as the cultural needs of residents in the aspects of plane layout,spatial form,texture and function space.This paper attempts to take the urban renewal as the perspective and learns from the theoretical knowledge and practical achievements of developed countries,and then put forward the design strategies of the community cultural activity centers in the old communities under the background of urban renewal,basing on the in-depth investigation and profound consideration of the cultural activities center in Shanghai.This study is divided into five chapters.As the introduction,the first chapter mainly introduces the background,purpose and significance of the research,defines the relevant concepts,and clarifies the differences between the community cultural activity center and the community center.At the same time,it also makes a summary on the development and research situation of community cultural activity center at home and abroad,put forward the theoretical basis related to the research.Moreover,it also determines the research method and basic framework of the article.The second chapter summarizes the development trend of the community cultural activity center in old community according to the development trend of urban renewal,the characteristics of the old community and development situation of community cultural activity center in China,in order to lay the foundation for the proposal of the design strategy later.The third chapter conducts a field investigation on the community cultural activity centers of the old communities in Shanghai,and then make a quantitative analysis of questionnaire interview data to analyze and summarize their characteristics and advanced experience,the existing problems and shortcomings as well as construction difficulties,and then sum up the principles which are appropriately used to guide the construction of the cultural activity center of the old community in our country.The fourth chapter puts forward the design strategies of the old community cultural activity center from the perspective of urban renewal,including the development with urban renewal,rational mixing of functions and flexible design,humanized care.Moreover,through the analysis and study of the case of Beizhan Community Cultural Activity Center,the paper validates the design strategies above,and proves their feasibility.Finally,the fifth chapter summarizes the full text to expound the research results and harvest,clarify the shortcomings as well as establish a further research direction.
