Under the dual background of actively developing early childhood education and following the healthy development of children's body and mind,the concept of early childhood education has changed greatly.With the development of economy in Northwest China,kindergarten education model shows regional particularity.There are obvious differences between Northwest China and Eastern China in the regional environment of monsoon region.It is located in the inland,with a long distance between East and West.The plateau area in the region is vast.The mountains such as Daxing'an Mountains are separated from the eastern plain,and are less affected by the marine climate.Therefore,perennial climate drought and winter cold are the most prominent natural climate characteristics in Northwest China.With the development and perfection of the concept of early childhood education in China,great changes have taken place in the way of children's communication and the educational model of kindergartens,emphasizing on children as the main body and encouraging children's spontaneous and autonomous communication behavior.However,compared with foreign countries,the development of kindergartens in China is relatively backward,especially in the design of indoor communication space environment,there are imperfect functions,unreasonable layout and unsatisfactory.Children's physical and mental needs,inability to promote activities,communication space design without regional differences and other issues.Therefore,this paper chooses kindergarten buildings in Northwest China as the research object,explores the influence of climate characteristics on communication space on the basis of children's psychological and behavioral patterns,and puts forward several modes suitable for the communication space of kindergarten buildings in Northwest China.Thus,it can provide detailed basic information and theoretical research for the design of kindergarten buildings in this area,and also provide reference methods and ideas for the design of communication space of kindergarten buildings in this area.The paper is divided into three parts:The first part: Using the methods of collecting and analyzing information and elements,this paper studies the needs of children's psychological and behavioral patterns for children's communicative space,and further analyses the types of communicative space.The second part: Through the field survey of kindergarten buildings in Lanzhou,collate and analyze the results of the survey,summarize the problems in the design of communication space;combined with the climate characteristics of Northwest China,further study its impact on the design of children's communication space,lay the foundation for the follow-up exploration of the communication space model of kindergarten buildings.The third part: Finally,on the basis of summarizing the previous research,this paper explores the communication space model of kindergarten buildings under the climate characteristics in Northwest China,and makes effective use of the design practice to provide rational analysis for optimizing and controlling the communication space model of kindergarten buildings in Northwest China,so as to make the research more comprehensive and objective.
