Transformer is one of the most important equipment in power transmission and transformation system. In response to the rapid development of the power industry,it is necessary to continuously improve the performance of equipment to meet the requirements of the market.Compared with the traditional type of transformer, the new evaporative cooling transformer can effectively reduce the temperature rise of the transformer, prolong the service life and improve the safety and reliability of operation. In this paper, the cooling effect of isolated evaporative cooling transformer is studied.According to the characteristics of internal structure, the internal heat transfer process is analyzed, and the internal cooling tube structure model is established.By numerical simulation, the effects of cooling tube area, flow rate and spacing on temperature field and flow field were analyzed.A comparison was made between isolated evaporative cooling, oilimmersed and submerged evaporative cooling, and the result show that the cooling effect of isolated evaporative cooling was between oil-immersed and submerged evaporative cooling.Through the simulation of the internal volume vapor content of the series, parallel and spiral pipe structures,it is found that the volumetric vapor content of the spiral pipe is the highest under the same conditions, and the heat transfer enhancement effect can be achieved. The structure of the combination of cooling tube and oil-immersed radiator is put forward.By comparing the effect of three cooling structures on temperature rise,it is concluded that the cooling effect of the combination structure of spiral cooling tube and oil-immersed radiator is the best. The feasibility of isolating evaporative cooling transformer in engineering is proved.
