Research On The Transformation And Development Mode Of Engineering Supervision Services In The New Era

At present,many engineering construction projects in China have applied smart technologies such as “smart site”,“BIM”,“RFID”,“AI”,“smart transportation” and robots,having increased the project value and the management effectiveness and efficiency.At the same time,these new technologies have also greatly impacted China's traditional construction management,business model and concepts.In China's engineering supervision industry,there are still numbers of problems to be addressed,for example,the service capability is not catching up with the development of engineering technologies,the service scope is limited,and the industry is also facing serious homogenization,fierce competition,lack of high-quality personnel,lack of trust,etc.The industry's capabilities need to be improved to meet the investors' requirements for green,environment-friendly,energy-saving and efficient project lifecycle consulting services and to serve those projects in the regions covered by the Belt and Road Initiative on the aspect of engineering construction consulting services.Nowadays and in the future,these problems such as how to improve the level of engineering supervision services,how to solve the existing problems,how to transform the services,have become the bottleneck for the sustainable development of the engineering construction supervision consulting industry in China.In order to solve the existing problems through service transformation and to comprehensively improve the ability and level of supervision consulting services,this research topic has been put forward.In this study,literature survey and analysis were firstly carried out on the background of transformation of the engineering supervision service in the new era,domestic and foreign research,and industry development,and studied related concepts and theoretical foundations.Secondly,studies and analysis were conducted on the domestic and international environment and requirements for the engineering supervision service in the new era,and characteristics of the times,etc.,the three types of engineering supervision service transformation models were proposed,such as professional consultation led by registered engineers(or architect),general contracting,PPP consulting management,and whole process engineering consulting,and certain suggestions for the safeguard measures of service transformation were also offered.Finally,the empirical analysis of Zhejiang Jiangnan Engineering Management Co.,Ltd.is carried out as an example.It is hoped that this study can provide inspiration,reference and reflection on the smooth transformation and development of China's engineering supervision services,the improvement of the corresponding project supervision system,and the formulation of policies and the establishment of sound laws and regulations for relevant government departments.
